What method is used to determine the size of the pan? I'm thinking about stacking a round cake on top, and I'm not sure what size would work. Thanks?

To the best of my knowledge, measurements were taken from the inside of the pan. There are four different sizes in this set, but they are not all round. (Just so you know,) the biggest one is quite large and requires several cake mixes to fill. Also, a wet towel wrapped around the outermost edge of the pan will allow you to cook for longer while preventing burnt edges. I'm not sure if this will be of any use to you.

Do these have a non-stick coating?

Normally, no. It's possible that they've included a non-essential ingredient. I haven't bought any sticks in a while. Whether the pan was non-stick or not, I always used a flour, oil, and crisco mix. Whether to stick or not to stick.

How wide is one of the nine-inch hexagon pan's six sides?

I'm not sure what you mean, but I believe 4 1/2" is the correct answer.

You could go to a specialty store for the pillars, but I just used regular round separator plates and inserted them into the cake. These pans are perfect for making a castle cake. I used two pans and added a filling. Red Velvet was used on the top two layers, while yellow was used on the bottom two. the flavor of chocolate

It's fine, but it's not very sturdy

These pans are fine for light baking at home, but they aren't sturdy enough for a full bakery. Maybe I'm just thinking of Fat Daddios when I say that.

This is a cute and well-made pan set, but I had to buy two of them in order to bake two identically sized layers at the same time, which saves time and energy.
