Wilton Horse or Unicorn Aluminum Birthday Cake Pan

The cake pan did a fantastic job. To keep the cake from sticking, I used oil and flour, waited a few hours before turning it, and it came out perfectly. Because the details on the baked cake don't show up very well, the illustration is useful for icing. My daughter requested a Spirit Riding Free cake, and this fit the bill perfectly. I didn't ice the bridle and instead used the same color as the face, which was barely noticeable. She seemed to be in good spirits.

It was extremely popular with my granddaughter. I made a unicorn cake out of it. It was a little difficult to follow the decorating instructions. To be honest, it was too difficult for me, so I just used one tip and piped the entire thing, then swirled the hair. The cake came out of the pan with ease. To avoid your cake sticking, follow the preparation instructions. br>br>Shipping was lightning fast! I looked on a few websites before finding this one for less money and faster shipping.

For her birthday, I gave it to my granddaughter. She enjoys decorating as well as baking. I am nine years old. She was ecstatic, and she even made her own birthday cake for the celebration. I live 15 hours away, and my parents did not send me a photo of her finished cake. They should have, but I was fortunate to be able to speak with her. She did express her delight in receiving it and her love for it.

For my horse-themed party, I needed a horse cake. This was fantastic for my addicted daughter. I was concerned because my cake decorating experience consisted of slathering canned frosting on with a butter knife until the cake is barely discernible within some frosting. Fortunately, the 2-bedroom apartment has a separate entrance. This pan's page insert includes a list of helpful hints as well as step-by-step instructions. step-by-step instructions detailing which parts to frost next, which tip to use, and even minor details such as "use cornstarch to smooth out the bridle. " Fantastic! My cake turned out exactly like the picture, my daughter was overjoyed, and I get to dress up as a superhero.

I greased the pan with Crisco, making sure to get all of the corners, and then floured it. I made the cake with a chocolate fudge cake mix, and it turned out beautifully! I refrigerated the cake overnight to allow it to cool. The pan includes a drawing of the pony as well as instructions for decorating each part. There is a lot of intricate detail, but it's easier if you make all of the frosting at once (I used buttercream) and fill each bag with the desired color. Hint: I used all butter instead of 1/2 cup shortening in my frosting, and it was difficult to tint the dark brown color, so I made the mane using the recipe on the back of the Hershey Cocoa box. br>br>My daughter complimented me on how good it looked, saying it was better than the one on the instructions! Mimi deserves a pat on the back! Another suggestion: br>br> This pan, like any other Wilton pan, should never be washed in the dishwasher. Always wash by hand.
