What is the burn time?

I don't use this liquid paraffin oil in my oil lamp for long periods of time; I only use it in an emergency if the power goes out.

With wicks wider than a half inch, I've heard that paraffin oil doesn't burn well. Is it accurate to say so?

I'm not sure why I haven't lit them yet.

When deciding between red and clear, why would I choose red? What is the added value of the color, and is it harmful?

It's simply a matter of preference. You might prefer colored oil if you leave your lamp out with a clear resevoir. Everything is the same when it comes to how it burns.

Is the color of this flame red?

No, the flame does not turn red when it burns. The oil is tinted red to make it easier to see in the bottle.

It's ideal for oil lamps used indoors

I'm pleased with the outcome overall. The only negative aspect of this product is the price; however, it was delivered on time and in good condition. The color is pleasing to the eye, and it is consistent from bottle to bottle. This product has proven to be both odorless and smokeless when used in my indoor oil lamps.

Colors are nice, and there's no soot! This oil is one of my favorites

I'm a sucker for colored lamp oils, and the three I purchased (green, purple, and red) were all richly colored. It also burns very cleanly, very cleanly. Clean- There's no getting around the fact that burning oil is more expensive to produce, but if you want to keep your lamps and ceilings free of soot, this is the way to go. This is a fantastic oil to think about if you're looking for something completely free.

Red is a lovely color

I'm not sure how long it will last. Because I only use the lamp during hurricane season, I'm hoping the color lasts a long time. I'd like to leave a lamp out in a complementary color to go with the rest of the room's decor.
