Questions & Answers

Is there a light on this clock that can be used at night?

There is no night light on it. It has a feature that allows you to choose between 7:1 and 7:2 dimming. 00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. 00 a.m., or you can leave it on bright. With the dimming feature turned on, I don't think it would be suitable as a night light. A separate night light would almost certainly be required. However, it is an excellent clock.

Is there an option to snooze it?

For the battery backup, what size battery is required? Although the product description states that it is made of metal lithium, aren't there different sizes?

It came with the battery already installed, so all I had to do was plug it in and it worked perfectly! During a power outage, the battery will not keep it from displaying, but you will not lose any information when the power is restored. I hope this information is useful. Best wishes for the holidays!

It's obvious! No set- I initially thought this product was a little pricey, but it has proven to be well worth the money
5/5

My elderly relative has dementia, and whenever she lost track of what day it was or whether it was morning or night, she would have a panic attack. in the afternoon We tried paper calendars and day planner notebooks, but she lost track of what she was looking at and began to distrust everything and everyone after a while. She has a strong belief in the day clock for some reason! "It's already afternoon?" she says as she stares at it. Wow. That was completely unknown to me. " It makes her happy to know that she can reorient herself to the time of day and week without the need for assistance from others. The display is large, clear, and easy to read from a long distance from any angle. When I took it out of the box, I expected to have to set the time/date, but I didn't have to! There was no need to fiddle with it because it was already set to the correct time! All I had to do was open the box and turn it on. It's great that there's a built-in battery! It allows you to unplug it from the wall for a short period of time if you need to relocate it without losing any of its settings. If the power goes out or if it is unplugged accidentally, it will save the day. (I haven't experimented with any of the alarm options. ).

I was let down
3/5

It was a fantastic clock. It worked for 11 months before it stopped working. A one-year warranty covers the clock. After contacting the company, I received a replacement clock very quickly. Unfortunately, the replacement clock appeared to be a refurbished clock that had not been properly repaired. The date and time will not be displayed; only the weekday will be displayed. I immediately contacted the company to inform them that the replacement clock had failed to function. They still haven't responded after five days. I really liked the Clark CK and am looking for a new one. I'm extremely disappointed.

Isn't very good at keeping time
3/5

This is a lovely clock, but it has one fatal flaw. It's quick, and I put it in the same room as my atomic clock. The atomic clock (and my cell phone/computers) had a specific time over the course of a month, but the American Lifetime clock was 4 minutes behind. I reset it, and it sped up again a few weeks later. I'm afraid that if I let it go, the time difference between the two clocks will only widen. br>However, the clock gets three stars because it's a good size and easy to see from across the room (unlike the atomic clock, which is almost never available in LED). br>However, it would be fantastic if this clock could tell precise time. It would be even better if they could make it atomic.

THE BEST CLOCK I'VE EVER SEEN! In my room, there has always been a clock
5/5

When I wake up in the middle of the night, I like to know what time it is because I don't get enough sleep. I prefer not to keep the clock on my nightstand, so it must be visible from across the room. Many of the other clocks I've owned had a bluish tint to them, making it difficult to read the numbers at night from across the room. The red colored numbers on the clocks I've had in the past have been too distracting for me. This clock is ideal; the words and numbers are large, but the light is not distracting, and I love how it displays the time, date, and time of day. I am 36 - I was on the fence about getting this because I assumed it would be something for elderly people with poor vision. - I mean no disrespect. Someday, we'll all be old! But once I got it out and set it up, it was fine. It's simply fantastic! It was by far the simplest clock I've ever had to set the time on, and it was only about 7 minutes off when I first took it out of the box and plugged it in. The battery backup is also very good. I don't have any complaints, except that I wish I had purchased it sooner!.

The display is fantastic
3/5

On the one hand, the display is absolutely stunning. It's the best clock display I've ever seen, and I can read it without my glasses. I also like the information. Having said that, for $40-$50, it's a good deal. Why does it not have a wifi interface with an auto clock and a remote app that allows you to set alarms and other features? Why doesn't it have a nightime mode where you can dim the display from 11 p. m. to 7 a. m. ? br>br>I want to like it, but it's 2018, and $50 should get me more technology to complement this BEAUTIFUL display. Then it'd be more than just a pricey kitchen timepiece. When I'm not wearing my glasses, I use it in my bedroom to keep track of the time. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> It appears to run quickly, with a 1 minute head every two days. This clock was the MOST EXPENSIVE ITEM I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. I have a Google Hub with a large, easy-to-read display that can be fully customized and includes weather, music, and camera access. It was also less expensive. This clock, in my opinion, is a rip-off. off, and not even with $20, much less $40 or $50.

Pay close attention to the questions and responses
3/5

It has nothing to do with what you believe. UNLESS someone is present to manage the clock for them, this clock is not suitable for someone with dementia. For less than a minute, the alarm goes off. You will not be aware that the alarm has gone off if you are not in the room at the time. The message to "take medicine" or whatever is displayed is lost, and the alarm must be turned off by removing the clock from the wall. There is no way to turn off the alarm from the front because all of the buttons are on the back. This is not a well-thought-out design. For someone with dementia, this is not a good choice. It's not worth the money; for a fraction of the price, you can get a large display alarm clock.

However, I have not yet tested the alarms
5/5

I will say that the alarm clock is incredibly nice; it is easy to read, and having five alarms is convenient. I bought it for myself solely for the five alarms, and I can appreciate the fact that each alarm can have preset notifications (take medicine, etc. ). For me, it's just reassuring to see the time AND date clearly displayed (it helps me stay awake even when I'm half asleep). I set the alarm once and heard it clearly from another room, but I haven't tried it out yet (though I believe it will easily wake me up). If I had to pick a flaw, it would be that the buttons are difficult to operate while looking at the screen. Oh, and it comes with its own extendable arm that allows it to stand on its own or hang on the wall. Overall, I wouldn't let the fact that the buttons aren't super easy to use, or that it's marketed for those with vision problems deter you from buying it (unless you REALLY want an alarm clock that wakes you up with music, which this doesn't). However, I doubt that this will be a deciding factor for anyone).
