That color is as ambiguous as it gets, the original Glacier white has a brown hue. A 20% gray tint has been applied to the Amazon Glacier white. They are not at all white. This device and the cable and power adapter are named Echo and USB respectively. You get grey! In addition to my original white Echo ( 3rd gen ), I have pictures of the white one. The pros are I like that the clock can be dimmed and the brightness is self-regulating. While the dimmed light color temperature was the same as a bright daytime light, it was not very warm or pleasing. This device is far superior to the new little Apple Home Pod mini since the blue ring light at the bottom is a major improvement. The only drawback is the misleading color description, but we still love it, JK.

It makes all the difference that it is so easy to use and adapt to your needs using the app. Whenever I'm supposed to wake up, it never fails to do so. After my alarm goes off, I set it up so that whenever I wake up, it plays a playlist that gets me going. Having a '5 more minutes' rule literally gives me no more sleep in the morning. While I'm still asleep, I just let the playlist play in the background. I went out and bought the Echo Dot because I was looking for a new TV, and it has been awesome so far.
