Because there is a Li-ion battery, when the battery runs out, you simply replace the new batteries and do not need to adjust the time. The correct time will be stored in the battery.

Okay, I'll admit it: I'm blown away. br>I didn't read the instructions; instead, I opened the box, used the slider on the back to set the time zone, inserted the three included batteries, and closed the lid. That's all there was to it; when I turned it over, it was set to the correct time and date (well, within 1 minute at first). (The temperature and humidity were also very close to the readings on other thermometers and humidity meters I own. ) br>The display is large and clear. It should be perfect for what I want to do with it. br>I included a picture of a couple of common items (a soda bottle and a stapler) to give you an idea of the size. br>Assuming it works (and I have no reason to believe it won't), I'm very pleased with the purchase.
For me, accuracy and visibility are the two most important values. br>br>I was looking for a clock to use in a variety of places, including our community emergency operations center, radio communications room, my office, and my home ham radio shack, which totaled seven clocks. Visibility is crucial in all of these applications, and this clock is simply the best I've seen. Our operations room is forty-five feet by fifty feet, and the clock can be seen from all sides and angles without difficulty. The radio operator in the radio room requires a quick glance at the time, and this clock meets that requirement perfectly. Congratulations, WallerGe, on a job well done. I needed both local and UTC time in the EOC radio room and my ham shack, and they had to be within a second at most. I searched Amazon for atomic clocks that could sync to WWVB, and of course, this clock was one of the clocks suggested in the search, and the data indicated that it was "autoset. " "It became clear after receiving the clock that it is not capable of receiving WWVB and is free running. " I decided to put the clock's accuracy to the test by setting it to WWV and seeing how accurate it was. I'm disappointed that the clock lost 17 seconds over the course of a month. This isn't good enough for my application. br>br>I recommend it if you only need one clock in the room, want it to be visible, and don't have the same accuracy requirements as me. However, I'm looking for a better solution for my applications. br>br>WallerGe, I recommend updating your Amazon product listing to state that the clock is only "DST Autoset" and not an "atomic" type clock that receives WWVB radio time broadcasts.
The thin bezel design on this clock appeals to me. It has a large display that isn't surrounded by a large, ineffective plastic border, which is common on other models to make the clock appear larger. From any angle, the display is easy to read. The displayed data is organized logically, but the bold AUTO DST symbol appears to be a bit out of place. br>br>Because of the inaccurate and misleading product description, I have to lower this clock's rating. The clock will display the "correct time" after the main AA batteries are inserted, according to the product description. The truth is that it will display the time it has kept since the clock was set at the factory or since the user last set it, which may or may not be the correct time; in my case, the time was incorrect (and I'm not referring to the time zone setting). Since it was set at the factory, the internal time had apparently drifted a little. According to the manual, if time is shifted due to transportation, you can manually reset the clock, which I had to do. This is nothing more than a battery-operated clock with a backup battery. As stated in the description, it cannot truly "Autoset. " It has no way of determining the actual correct time from a source outside of itself. When new main batteries are installed, the time displayed will be as accurate as the clock's timekeeping device. If the time is off, it will remain so until you manually correct it. It will almost certainly need to be fixed at some point in the future. The clock is described as "accurate," but there is no information about how accurate it is. br>br>In this price range, I would have expected a digital clock to include NIST radio synchronization. Several of the current 13 reviews refer to this clock as an "atomic" clock or claim that it automatically syncs with external sources, which it does not. Other people, I believe, are making assumptions or being misled by Amazon's product description. Thankfully, the clock's User Manual is clear and accurate.
It's a great clock to look at from any angle. It had been pre-programmed from the factory. It only requires one screw to hang it.
Large numerals are easy to read, and the light from the bedside table does not shine directly into your eyes at night. This product has exceeded my expectations.
This was a present for my 80-year-old father. He says he enjoys it and that it is simple to read and that it displays everything he needs to know (day, date, time, temperature, and so on). So, obviously, this was a fantastic decision!.
It looks great and works flawlessly. It's simple to set up. Thank you very much.
I "believed" I was purchasing an ATOMIC clock that would automatically set: It's not just a clock with a pre-programmed timer. The ad features list, in my opinion, is a little misleading. leading. It should be stated clearly that this clock does not auto set using a radio signal.
