Make sure you have enough room! Pros: The shelf is attractive, sturdy, and incredibly simple to assemble. It matches all of my dark wood bamboo items. br>br> After I screwed everything in, I tried shaking it, but it wouldn't budge. And it took me no more than 10 minutes to put together. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. The instructions state the following: sized holes on both the inside and outside of the rack legs, despite the fact that the holes intended for the outside are much larger. As a result, if you're not paying attention or don't have much experience with furniture building, you could easily screw the legs in the wrong direction. br>br>In addition, the screw holes are large and obvious, with no covers. If there was a way to hide the holes, it would look much better. Mixed: br>br>Mixed: br>br>Mixed: br>br>Mix Despite the fact that I enjoy the product, I believe it is undersized for the price. Perhaps if it were 1/3 larger, I could justify it, but it appears to be a little pricey for what it is. Is it possible that the higher price is due to the fact that it is made of bamboo? =br>br>I purchased the rack to use as an entryway shoe rack, but its depth is only about half the length of a shoe, even for my size 7 shoes. That was my fault for not measuring first, and it has nothing to do with the product.
The structure is made of bamboo. The instructions state that you should use gloves when putting it together because bamboo is naturally splinter-prone. I strongly advise you to do so, because guess who didn't and ended up with a nice splinter on his thumb? )br>br>Once it's built, the splinters are no longer an issue. The use of this on your wall on a daily basis will not pose a risk. There were no construction flaws in ours, such as ragged wood ends or anything like that. br>br>My biggest gripe with this is that it's a pain in the buttocks to put up on the wall. The shelf has a keyhole in the back. style hangers that attach to screwheads that protrude slightly from the wall I measured the distance between each screw head so I could drill the holes in our bathroom wall, but getting the hangers to line up was difficult. The hole on keyhole style hangers has a very small tolerance compared to the size of the screw head. This will hang if there is even a smidgeon of a measurement error. I had to "tease" the screw head into the hanger until I got it just right, which took some trial and error on my part. This would be SO much easier if the back hardware was better and easier to use. Of course, I'm just a home DIYer, but I don't think an experienced handyman or carpenter would have any issues. br>br>Instead of using the junk screws that came with the shelf, I recommend using stainless steel screws. Get some that are similar in size and cost around $3. In your bathroom's steam, the stainless steel screws will not rust over time. Also available are high-quality drywall anchors. br>br>I'm glad it's up there now that it's on the wall. It appears to be in good condition and is well-hung.
If I were just using it for washcloths or other bathroom items, it would be perfect, but I wanted a towel shelf, and I don't have any towels that small, so it's too small for regular towels. Although I was told it wasn't intended for that purpose, it is clearly stated. It works for me in some ways, but I think it would be more appealing if the tiers were a little wider. Bamboo is a lovely shade of green. I'd definitely buy something like this to hang on the wall and store small bathroom items in.
I have a small bathroom and needed some additional storage space for my SFX makeup overflow and other beauty-related items. I bought this small shelf for less than $30. Thanks to Prime, it arrived the next day and was simple to set up. I just woke up from a nap, so it took me no more than 15 minutes; I'm considering buying a second one because it fits perfectly in the tight space I needed it to and has saved my life by holding acrylic organizers and other items; my bathroom door can open and close just fine with this directly behind it, too! br>br>Overall, for a small and inexpensive option, this is excellent, and I recommend it! It is smaller than I anticipated, which is a good thing. It can't hold much, but it'll do for now! Adding some small organizers will make this small shelf even more useful!.
So, if it weren't for the fact that this piece is solid wood and requires PERFECT measurements to hang, I would have given it five stars. br>To put the shelves in, I used a drill to assemble the wood screws, which took only a few minutes (see my assembly line set up photo). br>After that, the nightmare began. I took three measurements, but it didn't seem to be enough. Because I used one measuring tape the first time and a different one the second time (I know! ), it's my fault. I know the engineer's wife in me was screaming, but I should have stuck to the first instead of adding variation). br>Okay, so I drilled the holes, inserted the mollies, and tightened the screws. No go. We return and re-examine the situation. I'm 1/16" off on the measurement (I kid you not). My husband fiddles with it and manages to get it to work. The majority of it is excellent. We'll call the left Molly 'good' because it's a little loose but not dangerously so. In the photo, there is a hole where the left toilet paper roll is; Overall, it's a fantastic addition to our bathroom. It coordinates with the new Wayfair over-the-toilet cabinet and our existing 1970s cabinets. We needed something to help us de-stress. clutter. br>Overall, a very simple to assemble, solid, and stylish piece for the money, but BEWARE OF THE MEASUREMENTS!.
