Washed in black. It appears to be in distress.
- From the top pipe's center to the bottom pipe's center - it is 38"
I can't recall the size of the bit I used, but it didn't work. I ended up using some of the better anchors I had on hand. I couldn't get the ones that came with the shelves to hold because they didn't have any grip.

Because the instructions were so muddled, I had to look up a picture of the item and go by that. Although some of the pieces are not completely tightened, they are made of solid metal and wood. Bubble wrap was used to wrap each item separately.
The poor instructional insert and incorrect hardware are to blame for my low rating. The heads on the wall screws are far too small to hold the piece in place. When you start screwing the plastic screw pieces into the wall, they break apart as well. When we spent so much money on a product, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the hardware. br>Updated review: I contacted the seller for new hardware and was blown away by the speed with which I received a response and the excellent customer service. I can't say enough good things about both the product (which is now hanging beautifully and securely with proper hardware) and the seller's customer service; the seller truly cares about customer service first and foremost, and I will definitely buy from them again! Thank you very much:.
We purchased the two- and three-shelf units as part of a total home renovation. In both bathrooms, they were installed. It's well-packaged, extremely simple to put together, and simple to install. BUY THIS ONE IF YOU LIKE WHAT YOU SEE!.
For my home gym, I bought two of these shelves. They're very sturdy and look great once they're installed. One of the shelves, unfortunately, was broken. Rather than going through the trouble of returning it, I found a workaround by gluing the broken piece of wood back on. The shelf was then positioned against the wall, out of sight. br>br>With 17 pieces in total, assembly was a bit of a pain. You'd think it was as simple as putting the pieces together with a screwdriver. It was, however, impossible to hand-tighten each piece while keeping the wall-attached legs straight. I couldn't think of anything else to do but leave the legs a little slack. Later, I discovered that after the pieces were installed on the wall, I could hand tighten them against the wall. This took care of any looseness that had existed prior to the installation. br>br>Installation was simple: locate the studs, mark the holes, and screw the panels to the wall. I would suggest enlisting the assistance of a friend or family member because the shelving unit, when fully assembled, is quite heavy. Because the screws and anchors included in this kit are insufficient for the weight of these shelves, I decided to upgrade to a Molly bolt, which is designed to withstand 50 pounds and gives me peace of mind that I can put whatever I want on these shelves. br>br>Overall, these are something I would buy again. However, I would factor in the time it takes to assemble and mount the piece. I'd also buy more anchors and possibly some wood glue before installing the shelves in case they arrive damaged.
This was purchased for the lakehouse's bar area, with a softer steampunk feel in mind. In this fun room, we piped as much furniture as possible, which helped tie it all together. Install was simple, but perhaps even easier in this case because we could mount it anywhere on the 1" pine wall. The shelves are a joke, with a cheesy film veneer that I'm sure will peel at some point, but they'll suffice for occasional use.
The assembly instructions are completely ineffective. These shelves are made up of individual pieces. It only adds to the confusion by arriving partially assembled, which must then be disassembled and reassembled. It's not that difficult once you figure it out, and I put it together by trial and error before settling on the right combination. I like how it has an old-fashioned/country look to it and that it is fairly heavy and sturdy. Overall, I'm pleased with it, but appearances can be deceiving. Prepare yourself for a long and arduous assembly process.
shelf unit made of metal! This shelf is quite nice. In our newly renovated bathroom, it looks fantastic! It's a good size, sturdy, and very attractive, and it's really good quality for the price; however, there are no instructions, and the pipes can't all be tightened all the way or the unit won't be flush to the wall. There were only pictures for directions, and they weren't even good ones. The company can hire someone to transcribe instructions for $90.
As a result, the bottom pipe pieces don't fit together as tightly as the top ones. It's a solid piece of equipment. It's fairly simple to put together, but it does require two people (one to hold the shelving and the other to install the anchors and screws). I adore the color and have received numerous compliments and requests for information on where to buy it.
