Questions & Answers
3 3/4" x 19 5/8" is the size of the glass shelf. The shelf edge is 4 3/8" from the wall, with the brackets adding a little distance from the wall. It's been over a year since I got it, and I love it. It's held up well, and I've gotten a lot of positive feedback. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Wishing you the best of luck and wishing you a happy Thanksgiving!
They aren't mixed up in any way. The supports can be attached to the wall in any location you like, and the glass will slide into place. I believe there is a way to tighten the supports so that the glass does not fall out. However, I don't believe it is necessary to screw it into studs because wall anchors are included, allowing the supports to be screwed into the wall in any location.
From above and below, it's clear, but the edge is tinged with a blue-green tint. Beveling and polishing are most likely to blame. The glass from above, on the other hand, is clear.
If you don't hit a stud and plan to put any weight on the shelf, you'll need anchors or "Mollys" for the sheetrock.

I appreciate having an extra glass shelf that is both decorative and functional. It's very classy (and at a great price!). The only thing I don't like about it is that the bracket doesn't go all the way under the shelf, preventing items from being placed all the way against the wall. If that is an issue for you, I would recommend one of the glass shelves that has brackets completely under the glass. If not, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!.
The bathroom renovation will have to be postponed for at least another year. Meanwhile, I'm putting the finishing touches on a minor reorganization. Two of these shelves were purchased by me - one for the bathroom and the other for the area around the sink - They immediately increased the volume of the space. br>br>With the included template, they were simple to install. If you're going through tile or ceramic, use a level, masonry/tile drill bits, and wall anchors, as I mentioned in another review of a different bathroom fixture. Make sure you're using the right drill bit for the job. If you make a mistake, it's difficult to fix these hard surfaces. br>br>This bathroom is 106 years old, and it still looks like it. The shelf's design complements the other fixtures, such as they are, but the hardware is timeless and would work in almost any bathroom style.
I had one of these for about ten years, until I fell in the shower and tried to brace myself with it. That was a huge error, but it's what you do when you're scared. Let me tell you something. I yanked it out of the wall anchors I'd used before, but the glass didn't shatter or even crack on the tub floor. I bought the same thing here again and saved a lot of money compared to other stores that had similar items for much more money.
There should've been one included. It's the same flat head that you'll need to fix your sunglasses. Because the screw is so close to the wall, you'll scuff it if you try to use a regular tool. All of this could have been avoided if the proper tool had been provided, and I'm sure it wouldn't have cost much more. With that hiccup, it took around 2 hours to install.
In ten minutes, I had it up and running. Remove the screws and anchors by unscrewing the brackets from the fixtures with a tiny flathead screwdriver. Tape the stencil to the wall, level it, drill four holes, remove the stencil, hammer in the anchors, screw in the brackets, attach the fixtures, insert the shelf pane, tighten the tiny fixture screws, and tighten the big plastic screws for a secure hold. So easy. br>br>Additional Information: The shelf is appealing and appears to be in good condition. The tempered glass shelf piece in particular is well-made.
This is a fantastic little shelf. The glass is very nice. Tempered. Drilling through the tiles was the most difficult part. . . if that's what you're doing. a hole of 1/4" The anchor piece is then inserted. Make sure you don't lose the bottom set screw. I misplaced one as I was loosening it. As a result, only loosen as much as you need to. It has a great look, is timeless, and is built to last.
Avalance of toothpaste and broken glass will result from any looseness in the set screw. Inspection reveals milling marks where metal was ground off at the top where the usual lip or recess should bebr>br>a risky and disappointing design from an otherwise dependable company.
The shelf appears to be of good quality and looks good. You may want to replace the supplied screw anchors with something more robust depending on your walls and where you need to install it; if you're fortunate enough to have studs where the mounts need to go, you're in good shape. If you're just starting out with drywall, butterfly bolts or other high-strength fasteners might be a good option. instead of the shoddy screws and wall anchors that came with it. You might want to transfer your own markings onto the wall if they can be easily erased, as the mounting template is a little fiddly to work with. Even if your measurements are slightly off, it is relatively easy to get the shelf perfectly level thanks to the amount of play allowed in the mounting plates.
