It's designed for a 16-inch center-to-center distance, leaving 14 inches between them. Although there was only 5" between the studs, I had plenty of room to shim. It will, I believe, fit snugly.
I simply used the same mastic as I did for the tiles. However, be sure to use a good grout with a Sealent additive.

I didn't have any depth issues because this was installed on 2x6 walls, and I also had no problems installing tile with modified thin set (yes, it's tight, but if you've ever installed tile, you'll understand). If you don't muddle around the lip before installing tile, you'll end up with elevation issues or a wavy appearance.
Amazing. I installed a shower pan in place of my bathtub. Now I'm thinking it'll look better, but where do I put my shampoo and other toiletries, and where do I put my foot when shaving my legs? br>I got two of these for the price of one. I put one smaller one about 13" off the floor for my foot to rest on while shaving and drying my legs, and another higher up with a larger and smaller opening. On top, there's shampoo, then there's soap and a razor. I think they're fantastic, and I really like them.
Installing it was a breeze. The item arrived ahead of schedule. Installing it was a breeze. Now we're going to hang our tile. I believe it will turn out beautifully. I really like how there are so many different sizes to choose from.
It's simple to work with, with a nice, rigid feel to it. On 16" studs, it works well.
In my bathtub, they look fantastic. They were easily placed and installed by the contractor. I would strongly suggest it.
I positioned it next to the bathtub. I wouldn't use it for a shower because it's too small, but it's perfect for a tub.
It was necessary to remove. a term that is used for a completely different purpose. To get the door to fit properly, we had to cut a wall out. I put this in my pocket to fill it up. The door is now fully open. It's been painted white, which transforms a problem into a work of art.
It looks fantastic. I'm not sure how well the setup went.
