This edition differs slightly from the one I purchased. There's only one shelf in mine, and there's no hooks on the rod. As a result, I'm unable to respond to your question about hooks. Aluminum makes up the bulk of the metal. So it is corrosion resistant, but no metal is 100% corrosion proof (it won t rust because it isn iron though). Although the screws are steel, they are not visible. They have caps to cover any screw that might be visible. Mine is in my shower, which means it gets a lot of moisture.
It all boils down to whether or not you've ever hung anything on a wall before; if you have, it's not difficult; just make sure to use a level and take your time poking holes in the wall for the insert.
The potato-like appearance of the aluminum surface From what I can tell, it's sandblasted with course grit, then painted with aluminum paint and finished with a lacquer coat. When compared to the brushed stainless in my bathroom, it gives the impression of being of low quality. If everything in the bathroom was in the same color scheme, it might be acceptable.
To drill through wall tile without cracking it, you'll need the right drill bit, and I'm not sure how the metal will fare after being sprayed every day. This inside shower, in my opinion, should not be used.

In person, the shelf looks a lot worse than it does in photos. We weren't able to open the shelf until later because we were still under construction. It's painted metal, which is a horrible surprise - In pictures, it appeared to be coated or something similar. However, it looks as if it was spray painted from a can when you see it in person. Because the time limit has expired, I am unable to return. However, I am determined to save a few people from making a poor decision. Another negative is that they don't include a simple template to make installation simple. br>I ended up getting a nicer looking shelf during the build. com.
Although I'm pleased with the end result, my four decades of DIY experience has taught me that putting this together and mounting it on the wall should be done slowly and carefully. "Measure twice," I advise any buyer. a minimum of Likewise, double-check the mounting locations for your wall drill holes. It's not difficult to end up with a non-compliant product. The finished job should be level or non-vertical. However, if you proceed with caution, you will end up with a fantastic product.
While we waited for the shelf to arrive, we measured the wall and even cut out a price from an old box to get a sense of how big it would be; unfortunately, it appears much smaller in person than the measurements suggest. The frame that supports the shelf, I believe, is to blame. The items we wanted to put on this shelf would barely fit, making it unsuitable for our needs. As a result, we returned it and will keep looking for something that is the right size for our requirements.
I really like the overall look. The finish, on the other hand, is a powder coat that could be better.
1. This is a textured Silver paint, not Chrome. In fact, it's preferable to Chrome.
2. Apart from the instructions, I found that putting the towel bar on first made it much easier to get everything lined up on top.
3. The hole for the wall anchors must be drilled with a 19/64 drill bit. (They draw lines, drill holes, and do other things, but they never tell you what size bit to use for the wall anchors. ) )br>br>This is a great place to keep your charging devices, such as timers, because it's nice and open and easy to run power cords to them.

The shelf is well-made and appealing to the eye. To give it sturdiness, you must definitely use anchors. I was surprised by the thickness of the glass. The purchase has left me completely satisfied.
