This brush has only been used for a few hours. It had a great thick lather and was very gentle on my skin when I used a hard shaving soap. Please see the instructions below on how to care for your brush when you first receive it so that you can get the most out of it. br>br>I discovered that I needed to clean it with dishwashing detergent before I could use it for shaving, but once I did, it worked great. Please hear me out. I only rinsed it with water the first time I used it before attempting to lather it. It didn't turn out well, and I initially mistook it for a bad brush. After this first attempt, I noticed that the bristles felt sticky, and I realized that the bristles must have been coated during the manufacturing process (after all, they are synthetic bristles), so I decided to wash them with dishwashing detergent to remove any factory residue. This worked perfectly. I tried the brush again, and it produced a thick, luxurious lather.
For the past five years, I've only used badger hair and boar hair brushes when shaving. I recently experimented with a synthetic brush to see how well it performed. I was so taken aback by this brush that I'm not sure I'll ever buy another animal hair brush again. In a lot of ways, the synthetic brush is better. It's tough, keeps its shape after a lot of use, and doesn't get too soft. It lathers up nicely and feels silky smooth on the skin. It dries much more quickly after use. I don't see why you should use badger or boar brushes again.
This was originally purchased as a travel brush, but it has since become a staple in my makeup bag. The 0. The knot size (20mm /-) is indicated by the number 79 inches. It has some stiffness to it, but it isn't a particularly dense brush. One suggestion is to comb the top layer of hairs with a fine tooth comb while running hot water through them on a regular basis. This prevents hair from sticking to each other and restores plushness. br>br>I noticed that the knot produced more lather and fluff than some of my denser brushes. It wasn't a trick of the light. The presence of a low density of hair can result in a condition known as high flow-through. through. Because it isn't buried in the brush hairs, the lather comes out faster and fluffier. I've tried it with Cella, Williams, and Tabac soaps, and they've all worked out well. br>br>Other aspects of the performance to enjoy: It takes less soap to load up (it's not a soap hog), it's synthetic (it doesn't kill an animal in the process), it doesn't lose hairs, it dries quickly, and it's very light for travel. br>br>The bottom-line- line: Low-cost solution that gets the job done. Being a useful brush earns 5 stars at this price point.
Before today, I had never used a shaving brush. I switched to safety razors a few years ago and enjoyed the close shave, but I was still getting nicks and cuts. I used to apply shave cream with my hand, which was uneven, and I didn't realize how much of a difference it made. This shaving brush is inexpensive, produces a good lather, and provides a much better shave after switching to it. br>br>I was also looking at badger brushes until I read about animal cruelty and decided to go with this synthetic bristled one instead. It appears to be of good quality and performs well.
I washed it as soon as I got it because I know brushes need to be washed every now and then. The first time I lathered, I experienced a small amount of shedding, but it was minimal. Since then, I've used it several times and have never experienced any shedding. I believe it is more valuable than its asking price.
I believe I've lost more of the badger brush. This is a good brush for the money, and you don't need to spend a lot of money on a fancy brush (unless you really want to and can afford it!). Ha! ) when you can get this super-soft, super-powerful synthetic brush instead. I would highly recommend this product to anyone, especially if you're on a budget or new to wet shaving and want to lather like an old-school barber. professional in the classroom! I really like this brush.
As a result, it's a good deal for the money. I'm new to brushes and shave creams as someone who is just getting into double-edged razors, but this worked well while I worked my way through my first tube of Proraso shave cream. On my face, the brush was a little rough, but keep in mind that I've never used a shave brush before. I bought it because it was synthetic (which is important to me as a vegetarian) and it wasn't too expensive. After I finished my first tube, I switched to a Neutrogena Sensitive Skin shave cream that doesn't require a brush, which I prefer, but this brush did its job well while I was using it. I'm sure there are better brushes out there, but this one does the job well and at a reasonable price.
The brush is a lot softer than the one I had before. I've had it for a few months, but I've only recently started using it after my old brush fell apart again. We'll see how long it lasts, but once I get used to the softness of the brush hair, I think it'll be fine. GREAT VALUE, I believe, because even if you can find a brush in a local big box store, you'll probably pay a lot more than you will for this one.
