Questions & Answers
The T3 was purchased by me. It's a fantastic brush, but if I had to replace it, I'd go with the T2 for two reasons: 1) I couldn't find a brush stand that would fit the T3 (which is required). 2) I don't think the diameter to length ratio is correct. I believe that a longer handle would provide a better feel.
That is entirely dependent on your stand, as some have larger openings to accommodate larger brush handles and other items. Mine does, but it doesn't hang from the curve of the handle. The handle has to be resting on top of the prongs, and the bristles have to fit through the teeth underneath. It works, but it's a bit of a squeeze. The brush, on the other hand, is highly recommended. T3 and T2 are both in my possession.
T1 = 42mmx23mm, T2 = 44mmx24mm, and T3 = 50mmx26mm are the sizes of the knots.
My brush stand is a Kent brush stand, which is made of a common plastic design. I'm sure there are others of similar size, but I doubt you'll be able to hold it by its "waist" on a stand. The T3 dries quickly, as do most synthetic brushes.
Selected User Reviews For Alexander Simpson Trafalgar Synthetic Shaving Brush - Simpson Shaving Brushes - Faux Ivory Handle (T1)
In every category, synthetics currently outperform badgers, so take advantage of the advantages. Rather than a $200 Simpson silvertip Stubby, try this superior Simpson Sovereign. For less than $30, you can get a fibre Trafalgar brush. I'm not sure how they're going to be able to afford to provide lathe-cutting services. At this price, I'm not complaining about the turned resin handles. This is incredible work.
For over ten years, I've been using wet shaving, DE, and a brush. After 12+ shaves, here is my honest opinion of the T3. Before this one, I was using a best badger brush, so that's what I'll compare it to, and this is my first synthetic brush. I'll admit that the brush's tips are a lot softer than my best badger's. I normally use soft soaps and a small metal shaving bowl for lather, but I've had better luck doing a face lather with the bowl. Now for my only real complaint, which is both a plus and a negative, the synthetic bushes do not hold water like a badger, so I find it best to wet brush, face dip brush in soap, and apply to face, it does feel like I am getting more soap on my face, and if I need to I lightly dip the bushes in soap and apply to face. The fact that it doesn't hold as much water means it dries out quickly, which is a plus; however, I've noticed that when I use scented soap, it doesn't hold on to the scent as well as a badger brush. The construction quality is excellent, and I have yet to lose any fibers. I must say that the $35 I paid for this brush was well worth it, and I wish I had ordered one sooner. Despite the fact that there is some trial and error, as I have found with most things with wet shaving because everyone is different.
To be honest, electric razors are now so good that they shave my legs closer and without nicks and cuts. Shaving with a real razor and shaving cream, on the other hand, is incredibly satisfying. I also used traditional shaving cream (Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood - Taylor of Old Bond Street - Taylor of Old Bond Street - Taylor of Old Bond Street - Taylor of Old Bond Street - Taylor of Old Bond Street This is fantastic! ), so I needed a shaving brush to get the most out of my old-school shaving experience. This brush is fantastic. It's synthetic, but it's very soft, and the first time I used it, it made a great lather and gave me a better shave. In addition, the quality is excellent. I bought the smallest size because I figured it would be the easiest to maneuver in the mustache area and so on. Compared to the better badger brushes, it is anywhere from My decision has pleased me greatly.
Awe-inspiring show. I had no idea a synthetic brush could perform as well as this one. This is exactly what I was looking for in a synthetic brush with some scrub. Feels great, produces a lot of lather, and holds more water after being squeezed out than any of my other wet brushes. On the first try, it was my favorite right out of the box. Get it!.
The bristles are long and stiff enough to lather soaps or creams easily, but not so big and floppy that they're difficult to apply without getting them up your nose or into your ears. I have badger, boar, and horse brushes, but I think I prefer a good synthetic to them. I do have some that are softer than the T2, but they have a larger knot. These aren't cheap, but they're a lot less expensive than many of the Simpson models, and I'm glad I got mine. br>I can't write a separate review for the T1, so I'll just add my thoughts to my T2 comments. The T1 is comparable to the T2, but has a shorter handle. Lather tends to run onto your hand, which is one of the reasons I prefer the M7 models. However, I continue to use both of these in my rotation and find them to be enjoyable.
for the sake of money Badger Hair Shaving Brush is the first and only brush I've ever used. I purchased this based on the reviews, and I was not dissatisfied. Any decent quality Badger Brush is much cheaper (nearly half the price), but the quality is far superior. br>br>I've only used it once, but I'm sold. Will see how it holds up over time; it uses a lot less soap (which will please those who use expensive shaving soap) and produces much better and higher leather with little effort. br>br>I usually soak badger brushes in warm water for about 10 minutes before using them to soften the hair, but this is not the case with this brush. It's time to rinse and go; I'm pleased with my purchase overall. br>br>The brush arrived in a very nice box with a nice handle that makes it feel like a higher-quality brush.
I've never been interested in investing in a high-priced Simpson natural-fiber rug. Brush your hair. The positive reviews of the synthetic Simpson brushes kept me on the lookout for one on Amazon when they were released. The synthetic Simpson T2 was too good to pass up at its current price. This is a nice shaving brush with a good backbone for face lathering and easy loading. My preferred shaving brush is synthetic, and the Simpson T2 is a welcome addition to my collection.
When I run my fingers over it, it feels like cotton balls. It hasn't irritated me in the least, which is impressive. My own mustache, which is growing in, can irritate the skin around it by poking it with new hair. An allergic reaction can occur if I wash my hands too frequently. My face leaves a red mark on my hand after leaning against it for a few moments. Scratching my back gives the impression that I've been swung around by a switch. This brush, on the other hand, does not irritate my sensitive skin, which is irritated by almost everything else. I would recommend it to anyone else who has sensitive skin but still wants a good shaving tool.
