Anything will lather. Except for the fact that it doesn't hold heat, it's a perfect shaving brush. Heat retention is a challenge for all synthetics. This is a soft fabric with plenty of fibers to make a great cold lather. Even the most powerful badger wouldn't be able to lather up like this. A cheap boar bristle, on the other hand, keeps you warm. Warm lathers are produced by my Semogue 1470 and Omega 636. If you're on a tight budget, the Semogue will do a dozen warm shaves for you. It will lather well once it has been broken in. The Omega is an over-the-top luxury for the price; I miss the warm lather, but a natural fiber will not dry quickly enough to pack. This is completely dry after shaking.
Soft. It's simple to lather up. Light. And it's reasonably priced.
It's all about synthetics! I have a silver tipped badger brush as well as other bristle brushes, but I prefer this synthetic brush. It lathers up nicely, doesn't have an off-putting odor, and dries quickly with a few wrist flicks. Because it's my first synthetic brush, I can't compare it to others, but it's already my best and only brush.
I only have one word for you: AMAZING.
