The knot is about one inch wide, and the loft is about two inches high. 25" high by 2" wide The handle is just shy of 2" tall and 1.25" wide, making it a 5" wide bag. At its widest point, it measures 5" in diameter.
To be honest, I'm not sure, because the brush doesn't have a country of origin stamp.
I've made use of a high-quality product. For over 30 years, I've used the same high-quality brush, which was an heirloom given to me by my father and was already quite old. A stiff bristle brush 'pulls' the skin on your face, hence the term "pull." A low-cost, low-quality Unless you lightly apply and create lather, a good brush will 'pull' your skin, defeating the purpose of using one in the first place, which is to soften and fully saturate the beard hairs so they shave off easily and close to the skin. A high-count, long, soft bristle will produce more lather while also avoiding skin irritation. I'd buy a high-end brush if I ever needed to replace my heirloom brush. Parker has come to an end.
I've had my brush for over two years and have only lost three hairs in that time. Your brush, as others have stated, should last for many years. The brush will have a short lifespan unless it is mistreated.

Given the subject headline and the content that follows, you may find it difficult to believe, but I was not coerced or compensated in any way for this review. br>br>For the past two years or so, I've been shaving with a safety razor and have never given the brush much thought. br>br>I've seen brushes with similar reviews that sell for $16 or $20. And now that I've used a silvertip brush, I'm not sure how people manage to do it. br>br>Don't get me wrong: the $16 or $20 brush will work; it just won't work as well. It isn't even close to being the same. br>br>First and foremost, those brushes are extremely coarse, which can cause skin irritation. This brush has a wonderful softness to it. br>br>The second issue with those other brushes is water and soap absorption. It's as if you're in the middle of the night or the middle of the day. Those cheaper brushes do make it easier to work up a nice lather with the soap, but that's because they're just mixing the water and soap and don't absorb much of either. To effectively spread the soap, you'll need to make a few passes across your face. br>br>Because this brush absorbed everything so quickly, there was far less water and soap in the bowl than I'm used to. Despite the fact that I'd gone through this process numerous times, I honestly believed I'd made a mistake. br>br>I only needed one pass to get my face nicely lathered. br>br>If you can afford it, go for it. Obtain this brush even if you are unable to do so. br>br>I've only used it twice, so I can't comment on durability, but I'm hoping the money spent will be well spent in terms of the brush's longevity. If the durability appears to be poor after a few months of use, I will update this review.
. The handle isn't nearly as important as the handle itself, in my opinion. I mean, the amazing silvertip badger bristle is what you really want, but I have to say, the handle is also a cut above the rest. It's got a nice heavy feel to it. br>br>It's got a nice heavy feel to it.
Before I start my review, I'd like to thank Howie at Super Safety Razors for all of his help. He sent me an email explaining how to care for my new brush and letting me know he was available to answer any questions I had about it; I appreciate his genuine concern for me as a customer. br>br>First and foremost, let me state that I was not compensated in any way for writing this review. br>br>At first glance, the brush has a very appealing appearance, as the faux handle and chrome base make a beautiful addition to my bathroom décor. br>br>With over 40 years of shaving experience, some men might actually find one or two of my comments worthwhile. br>br> I was struck by the weight of the handle. I like having a brush with this much weight because it feels solid and masculine in my hand, and it's easy to apply shave cream with. For the past three months, I've been using this brush. I've only lost one hair in that time. It had a pleasant odor, which I was pleased to discover. After a preliminary shampooing and a few initial uses, the minor odor had completely vanished. The bristles have excellent water retention properties, allowing me to quickly build up a thick shave cream lather. In fact, if you use a high-quality shave cream, you'll find that the brush can hold a significant amount of cream between the bristles from one shave pass to the next. I usually do a three-step procedure. I wanted to see how much soap the brush could hold between passes during my pass shaving routine. Although I do not recommend doing this on a regular basis, I found that rinsing my face after the first pass left the brush with enough soap to produce a slick lather for the second. It wasn't a lot of lather, but it was enough to keep the whiskers hydrated for the second pass. br>br>Overall, I have to say that this shaving brush is an outstanding product; while there are several high-quality brushes on the market that cost significantly more money, the Parker brush provides substantial quality and value at this price point. This purchase has made me very happy, and I'm excited to use it in my daily shaving routine. I actually look forward to shaving every morning now that I've acquired the proper shaving tools, which includes the Parker brush. I believe that any man who enjoys a better shave will appreciate owning this product. As a result, I agree with other reviewers and give the Parker Safety Razor 100%.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes When you lather it up and apply it to your face, it feels like you're shaving with a fluffy pillow, and I actually enjoy this part of the shave. I gave my old brush a try a few days ago and promptly discarded it. I really wish I hadn't squandered my money on the other one and instead paid a little more for this one. A small amount of money can make a big difference in this purchase. 2018 Update: br>br> I've had the brush since fall 2016, and it's now losing dozens of bristles on a daily basis. I've reduced my rating to a three-star rating because it was great for a while, but now I wake up with a face full of bristles. It's time to take a risk.
