I've had this brush for six years, and it and a synthetic brush from the Body Shop have been the only two brushes I've used for the majority of that time; the logo on the handle of this one has completely worn off, and I've used it countless times. br>br>It works fine, is very comfortable to use, has a nice appearance, and, at the very least, my specimen is well made. Although the logo has faded, it is unusual to lose a bristle. The only drawback is that it's a fairly large, fluffy brush that covers about half of my cheek when dry. There are two things that separate it from five stars.
1. It is unable to stand on its own two feet. Given the size of the brush and the high cost of badger bristle, I believe they had to cut corners on density to keep the price low. I haven't used any other badger brushes, so I can't compare them to this one, but I can compare it to the synthetic brush I have and the boar brush I replaced it with. Both of those brushes were (or are) stiffer than this one, and as a result, they seemed to work better.
2. It has no worth. Of course, this is subjective, but in my opinion, the $10 synthetic brush I got from the Body Shop performs better than this one, which is more expensive. I prefer it most of the time these days, and I'd be more upset if I lost it, despite the fact that it's much cheaper and has a similar appearance. If all you want is a badger shaving brush and you're on a tight budget, this is a great deal, but it doesn't work for me. br>br>On the whole, I'm not sorry I bought this. It's done its job and held up well over time, but I'm fed up with its lack of rigidity. Even after six years of use, the synthetic brush's tips are slightly scratchy and uncomfortable, despite the fact that it has more backbone. br>br>After much deliberation, I've decided to purchase a new boar brush. It should be firmer than the Parker, but less scratchy than the synthetic brush after it has been broken in. I wouldn't discourage you from purchasing this brush if you have the funds or refuse to consider a different material; depending on your needs, it could be ideal; I just don't care for it. I'd give it three and a half stars, and instead of rounding down, I'm going to round up.

" br>I get a nice "hot shave" by rinsing the bristles in hot water and rinsing the soap cup in hot water. br>I've been very happy with this shaving brush for almost 9 years and hadn't thought about replacing it until now (it's worn out). br>I've put together a 9-point checklist for you. Review of the previous year:
Pros:
- It can hold a lot of soap and transfer it to the shaving area with ease.
- The bristles are soft and do not irritate the skin, but firm enough to lift the beard and aid in a smooth shave. br>- It had a dense "backbone" when it was new, but over time it has become a little soft.
- The metal handle is sturdy and provides a secure grip (until soap gets on it, that is!). ), but I wish it was a little longer.
- It comes with a stand that allows it to drip and dry. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- It shed a few hairs once or twice a week, but not in an excessive amount, and not every time I used it.
- To match the handle's weight, the stand could be a little thicker. When putting it in the stand, be careful because it can easily tip over, causing the bristles to become tangled or bent.
- After a year, the logo on the handle had worn off.
- It's not the type of shaving accessory I'd bring with me on a trip.
- It lacks "backbone" (firmness) at the moment. It never had a particularly powerful one, but it sufficed. Now I'm finding that getting it under the beard requires a little more effort than I'd like. br>- The bristle "knot" in the handle has broken after 9 years, and it's time to replace it. br>The last two issues are to be expected over time, and 9 years isn't bad for the price. br>I'd say I got my money's worth out of it. br>At this price point, I would definitely purchase it again. br>However, now that prices have decreased in general and I've learned more about them, I'm going to do some research first, and I may spend a little more this time.

This Parker is a huge letdown, especially considering the price tag. Badger bristles are stiff enough as is, but the spread of hairs in the handle is so large that the outer rim of hairs protrudes like needles, making it very uncomfortable. Because the hairs are so long, it takes a long time for the page to load. As a result, a lot of cream and soap has been wasted. The lack of lather produced by soap is noticeable. The term "pure badger" is exaggerated to the point of absurdity. Until I got this Parker, I didn't realize how much I liked my old brush. Another Viking is on its way to me.

I've tried three different brushes before this one and have yet to find anything that I don't like about it. br>br>It whips cream into shape beautifully, is soft, and applies lather admirably. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be that I'm sure there are better brushes out there, but they'll cost you more. Furthermore, the brush sheds like any other brush, but if you try to get it wet with warm water before using it, it should shed less frequently.
