I believe you will not be able to hold it for an extended period of time, as the seller indicates. The glove may not be suitable for holding a hot tool, but it will keep your hand safe from heat damage for a short period of time.
Mine came with a glove.
I believe the mat is capable of completing that task, as 450°F encompasses a wide range of heat sources.
They're big and hefty. br>Not overly bulky, but due to the size and gel, not too bad when folded in half.

I can use two different heat styling tools on it at the same time, both set to 450°F. It's ideal for preventing my tools from slipping or twisting on the counter while also protecting it. br>It also serves as an excellent warning system for my husband, who is well aware that "the stuff on the pink thingy is hot. " br>It rolls up neatly for storage or can be hung from a hook, as I do. br>I'd buy this product again!.
This is what I'm using for a round air brush styler, and it's fine to put my styler back on afterward. I wish it was a little bit bigger so I could wrap it completely around the styler lengthwise; I can wrap it around widthwise but wouldn't pack it immediately after use because not all of the brush is covered. So it's a shame I couldn't figure out how big it needed to be to completely cover the brush from top to bottom, or the heated brush area. A bonus is that the mat's texture makes it an excellent surface for cleaning my make-up brushes without the need to purchase a separate product.
This was purchased for my mother, who enjoys it. It serves as a mat in her bathroom beneath a small space heater. The noise (from the vibrations on the floor) used to bother the downstairs neighbors before the mat was installed. This mat will not burn you and will absorb the vibrations.
It might work for some people when they're on the road. It's possible that the space will suffice. However, I believe it is far too small. Consider a small salad plate as an example.
I was constantly balancing on my toes, trying not to burn the countertop with my tools. br>br>It's also nice to feel secure about putting tools away with the mat wrapped around them. I realize it's probably already cool, but it makes me feel better.
It was used to keep the pelo plancha warm while it was being used because if it gets too hot in any place, it can cause an accident. It was also used to quemo a mesita and a piece of leather furniture when I saw it in a beauty shop, and my daughter liked it so much that she now has her own. It resists the heat and I'll look for other uses for it when it gets too hot.
This is a good mat for the price. Although it protects the surface it is placed on from heat, it becomes extremely hot while in use. Because my curling wand lacks a resting stand, the hot end of the wand rests directly on the mat. It's possible that's why it's so hot. I'm not sure I'd buy this mat again because it's comparable to much cheaper mats. It does help to prevent my wand from slipping off the counter. a change of scenery.
The only thing I would change is the size; I should have gone with the 11in! In any case, it's a very useful small mat. It protects my vanity top from burns and allows me to juggle my hot tools. I'm thinking of giving it as a holiday stocking stuffer! I'm going to order the larger mat again.
