I have no idea where it came from. It's most likely from China, but it's great because you can use it to store your hot iron. It's also a good place to put your iron when you're not using it.
As long as the temperature does not exceed 480°F. It is heat resistant and will not melt, but do not leave it there for an extended period of time.
Yes, without a doubt. When it's hot, I used to unplug it and place it in the pouch.
This item is ideal for use as a placement mat and for storing items that have recently been plugged in. Curling, flattening, and crimping irons are all available. In my opinion, a mini ice chest with a silver lining or a mini refrigerator that can be plugged into a USB socket or lighter, as many people do, are the best options.

There is nothing to be concerned about. These heat-resistant silicone holders are fantastic. I don't like leaving my curling iron on the counter because it looks unkempt, so after I've finished with my hair, I roll up the cord and place it in the silicone case. There's no need to wait for the temperature to drop.
When he moved out and we got our own place, he laughed because the only thing that came out of his security deposit was a portion of his counter that had been scorched by my curling iron. This is perfect for setting my curling iron on to avoid any security deposit issues, and it's also perfect for traveling because I can confidently stick my curling iron in it and toss it into my suitcase while it's still hot. I used to have to wait for it to cool down a little before wrapping it in clothing that I didn't think would melt or burn. I wish it had a better cord-holding capacity. I simply wrap the cord around the curling iron's end before tucking the plug into the pouch. I've had a long period of time where I haven't been able to do anything. The silicone version didn't protect the counter, but it could hold a hot iron and had a cord pouch that made cord maintenance easier.
To go with my L'ange flat iron, I bought two of these in gray. The size was ideal, and I cooled it on the counter before storing it in a drawer when I got home. These pockets are ideal for storing the cord and flat iron while keeping my drawer organized. I tried putting the hot iron (unplugged, of course) in one pocket, wrapping the cord around it, and covering it with the second sleeve. It was a huge success. My cord was well-protected from the iron's heat, and the double layering means I can now travel with my flat iron and not worry about it damaging anything. I also like how they lay flat on the counters and protect them! Win- win. It was $5 well spent (two times).
I needed a case for my curling iron, and this was exactly what I needed. I often have to leave as soon as my hair is finished, so I can't wait for it to cool down. The pouch serves as both a mat to protect the counter top and a pouch to keep my curling iron warm.
I spent my childhood straightening my hair only to return home after school to find it had been taken without remorse by my parents, because I never remembered to turn it off. I'm honestly surprised I didn't set the house on fire, but now that I have my own bathroom, I wasn't going to risk leaving burn marks on my new quartzite counter tops, so here we go. It's a cinch to use. I don't have to wait for it to cool completely before unplugging and plugging it in again. Parents who are concerned about their home burning down due to excessive hair straightening should read this book.
I bought multiple packs because I'm a hot tool and hair product junkie, and I'll be moving soon, so I wanted to organize my hot tools in a large tote bag, and my hair products in a separate sectioned bag, so I could easily find what I needed. Well, I bought a bunch of these so that I could put each curling iron (yes, there are four of them), straightener, and volumizer into its own "POUCH" and carry it in my bag. IT WAS AWESOME HOW IT WORKED OUT. THESE ARE THE PERFECT SIZE AND COST A FEW DOLLARS. THEY FIT THE HOT TOOL AND THE CORD, EVEN THOUGH THE CORD WOULDN'T BE INSIDE THE POUCH IF IT WAS STILL HOT, BUT FOR STORAGE PURPOSES, I HAVE A MASSIVE BAG WITH ALL THESE LITTLE POUCHES, AND WHEN I GO AWAY FOR THE WEEKEND AND DON'T EXPECT TO USE ANYTHING BUT THE TAPERED CURLER AND MAY IT FITTED UNDER MY SINK, SO IT WAS ORGANIZED THAT WAY. I WENT SO FAR AS TO COLOR CODE THEM, BUT YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO DO SO. WHEN I USE A TOOL, I PLACE THE POUCH ON THE COUNTER OR BUREAU AND USE IT AS A HEAT RESISTANT PAD TO PROTECT THE SURFACE ONTO WHICH I AM LAYING THE PIPING HOT 450 IRON SO THAT NOTHING IS DAMAGED. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY I HAVE BEEN LIVING WITH DRAWERS OF STRAIGHTENERS, CURLERS, AND CORDS EVERYWHERE AND ONE TINY LITTLE HEAT RESISTANT 5" BY 5" SQUARE TO BALANCE ANY HOT TOOL ON WHILE I DO MY HAIR FOR SO LONG. THESE ARE AMAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ AND THEY ARRIVED IN QUICK TIME! I GOT PINK, BABY BLUE, AND GREY AND PUT TOOLS IN THEM DEPENDING ON WHAT THEY DO THE MOST OFTEN, CURL STRAIGHTEN OR VOLUME/MISC. ORGANIZERS WITH OCD DREAM RIGHT THERE. MY PURCHASE HAS MADE ME SO HAPPY!.
