Questions & Answers
The answer to this question depends on what you want from a hair straightener. Chi is a more expensive model that many salon professionals use. The heat settings have been fine-tuned, and the plates have been thickened and ionized, resulting in faster straightening of your hair. For someone who uses a straightening iron on a daily basis. This is a better option because it will last for a longer period of time. br>For someone who likes to straighten their hair but doesn't do it on a regular basis (weekly/monthly, perhaps), Remington is a good alternative at a lower cost. It heats up quickly and effectively straightens your hair without burning the ends. It takes longer than the CHI straightener to straighten your hair. I prefer the Remington because I don't use it on a daily basis; instead, I use it once or twice a month. Alternatively, it could be reserved for special occasions only. It does the job without damaging my hair or burning it. I have thick, wavy/curly black hair that reaches my waist, and I straighten it in about 25 minutes. 35 min. br>The CHI is in my roommate. Her hair is shorter (shoulder length) and straight, with a coarse texture. She uses the Chi straightener every day to keep the frizz at bay and keep her hair looking shiny. In about 5 minutes, she has her hair straight. 15 min. I hope you find this information useful.
Hot irons, on the other hand, should almost never be used on wet hair unless they come with a built-in blow dryer.
Yes, the buttons can be secured. It includes instructions on how to use it. I've used it without the lock feature several times now, and it has never turned off.

On the first attempt, there was a lot of steam and a strong burnt odor. I kept using it in the hopes that it was normal, ignoring the growing burnt odor. br>br>I gave it another try. This time, not only did the straightener plate come off, but the internal parts did as well. Not only was it a complete waste of money, but it was also extremely frightening. (Imagine trying to straighten your hair and having everything come off at once, along with a strong burnt odor and steam. )br>br>I was extremely disappointed. Not a good idea.
It quickly straightens my curly, thick, and long hair! After using this flat iron while visiting family, I decided to buy it. Thankfully, I left my subpar flat iron at home when I went out of state. As a result, I requested a loan. This is the one they used to have. My hair is curly, thick, and long by nature. As a result, straightening all of my hair usually takes FOREVER. I can straighten every section of my hair in ONE PASS with this flat iron! My hair is also shiny and smooth after using the pearl ceramic plates. It heats up much faster than any other flat iron I've ever used (in seconds). It doesn't snag/grab tiny strands of hair like some lower-end products do. I've used high-end irons in the past. It's of professional grade - no doubt. After using it, I went straight to the internet and ordered one. After only using it once, two of my friends decided to purchase this flat iron. That's how good it really is.
I had this model for 5 or 6 years before it died, and when I needed a replacement, I went to Amazon and bought the one with the highest number of positive reviews. I eventually returned that one and replaced it with this one. It's affordable, heats up quickly, has longer plates for faster styling, and a handy locking mechanism. It's a fantastic purchase in general. (I have medium-length, thick, wavy hair, but it works equally well with finer, longer hair. ) I'm not sure if it can control super curly hair, but it's worth a try.
My hair is very long and curly, and this flatiron straightens it out beautifully! I bought two more two years ago and gave them as gifts, and they were very pleased. I'm in the process of purchasing a new one because I took mine overseas and it was damaged due to the unstable electricity. However, I am unable to express my dissatisfaction. This flat iron is something I'll always buy because it lasted me a few years and is fantastic!.
I read good reviews on this unit and it had better reviews than the replacement model of the one she had. My wife wanted a new unit to replace an older 2" that she had for a while, and I read good reviews on it. Because the exact replacement unit was nearly $100 more than this one, I decided to take a chance. She has enjoyed it so far in the two weeks she has had it. Please don't be put off by the price. Only time will tell whether it outlasts the more expensive version.
I used to have a 2 inch flat iron that lasted for years before finally giving up the ghost; I was given a Chi flat iron, which is nice, but it took me FOREVER to get my hair straight with it because I have thick curly hair. I was also unable to regulate the temperature. This product, on the other hand, is a tenth of the cost of Chi. It's simple to adjust the temperature, and it heats up quickly; I can straighten all of my hair in less than half an hour (and it's thick and reaches the bottom of my shoulder blades). With this product, I don't have to go over each section nearly as much, and my hair stays straight for two days. 3 days. This is far superior to any of the "designer" flat irons.
This one. For the price, it's not worth it. I've heard that the Remington diamond works 8x faster than this one and is cheaper. I impulsively bought this one, the 1 inch plate one, and another 2 inch player of this pearl one for my mother, not realizing that it's no good and takes forever to straighten hair. I had to pass it like 6 times on every strand to get the same result I get with the Remington diamond in just 2 minutes.
I bought it in late September 2016 and it stopped working in early January 2017. It's a bad product; don't waste your money on it.
