Questions & Answers

When it comes to weight, what is the maximum number of pounds ?

This is what the website says. The product has a weight capacity of 600 pounds *br> It creates a smooth transition over uneven threshold surfaces *br> Intended for wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, canes, and foot traffic *br>Pre-drilled for easy installation There is some assembly required, drilling and mounting holes are provided *Maximum weight 600 lbs. Durable all aluminum construction will not rust * Please see product details to know more about its capacity

In my case, 2 3/4" would be my threshold. Can you please tell me if I should buy a 2" or 3" ?

Whether you choose to put a lip on or not, you will have one. Since I am a wheelchair user, it would be better to have the mechanical benefit on the ramp side. I would move your 3 inches and put a 1/4 inch

Can this be used if there is a 6 inch step from the garage to the house?

What size step should I have for my door step if it's between 3' and 4" high

It seems like the last four 4" riser sections would not be needed for a 3-inch high ramp. Can I simply not assemble the last four 4" risers?

Attached to the top of the ramp, it lets people get on and off

Selected User Reviews For Silver Spring THR4 4.25" H Aluminum Mobility Threshold Ramp for Wheelchairs, Scooters, and Power Chairs

The width of this ramp makes it perfect for taking our wheelchair from our patio to the sliding glass The picture doesn't quite portray what you see, but at the top of the ramp, there is a narrow hinged flat piece that rests on the door sill, and it can slope down a bit to the door sill or slope up a little bit
5/5

Therefore, almost any height off the ground will work for the door sill You need to order the unit which is closest to the height of your door sill.
It is attached to the door sill by putting two tiny sheet metal screws through the An advantage is that it is made of aluminum, which will not be damaged by rain or snow. The ground in our yard is dusty, and dust can easily be hosed off since there are two sides to it.

Suitable for wheelchairs and scooters, but not for people who want to walk up it
3/5

Simple enough for anyone to assemble. Assemblage went well, but one of the screws ended up breaking off at the head. This means that in order to remove it, I will have to bore out a Since the screw is so small, tapping it out isn't really an option, and no. My hands didn't get too tight. My strength doesn't match up with that of a strong man. Despite the problem with the screw, I gave this item only three stars. Unless it's used specifically for a wheelchair or scooter, I'll estimate it's a good item when used actually as described. This is not the right item to use if you want to use it as a "walk up" ramp. An angle that is too sharp is evident. However, since the screw is broken, I can't take it apart to return it, so I can't use it as I'd hoped.

Sturdy and easily assembleable, it is a perfect gift for any occasion
5/5

Sturdy and easily assembleable, it is a perfect gift for any occasion. They are used primarily at the front and back entrances of the house. My first step was to cut two pieces of quarter-inch plywood the size of the ramps, lay the wood on the ramps, and drill holes through both the wood and Screwing the wood to the ramp with sheet metal screws was my method. The next step was to cut the outdoor carpet into the same size and nail it to What's the reason? As my mother, 89 years old, felt safer using a carpeted ramp and found it to be more comfortable. As I know the ramp is solid and secure, I am not concerned that my aging mother may slip. Prior to this, she had unstable wood ramps.

Besides helping my mom to remain in her own home until the end, it was also the best thing for my family
5/5

A variety of entrances can be accommodated. This product is easily disassembled and can be transported or stored. The materials are lighter than others, yet they have greater strength and are resistant to water and sun.

In terms of being a ramp, it succeeds
4/5

It is nearly impossible to assemble, I can't help you with any tips it is a miracle I managed to do it myself. As I was assembling it, one of the edges was really sharp and I had to cut my leg. Besides that, what else do you want to know? I don't mind the ramp at all. The product is durable and does the job well.

I really like it
5/5

All you have to do is slide them together. It is my second time that I am buying it. They are not sheer at all, but I didn't understand your It is lightweight enough to carry, but sturdy enough to stand on its own.

I'm so sorry! Completing this task was extremely challenging It was even harder with the included screws, and I had to replace them with longer ones after getting a professional to do it for me
3/5

It is also very difficult to move from one location to another. For a similar location, we need to build a second small ramp This will not be the case!.

I found it to be very useful
5/5

In the course of a year, I broke both hips and was forced to travel in a wheelchair at times, so this ramp has proved very useful to me. The table has a solid feeling once it has been properly assembled and is durable, well made and well-built. Any item that isn't completely rock solid would raise my suspicions to an even greater level, as you might expect. In my opinion, I have performed exactly as I expected it to and even exceeded my I have updated Please read it again and again if you haven't already Reading the assembly instructions several times and paying attention to the specific screws and items that need to be assembled at During the ramp assembly, we found some nuts and bolts left over that didn't seem to go anywhere, but were vital to keeping it.
