Purchasing this ramp to fill the role of the wooden ramps that I constructed has been on my mind for quite some time. Considering its weight, I was impressed at how well it was constructed. Although I have not fastened the top edge to the landing yet, it will only need a few screws to do so. In addition to the holes drilled for screws, the package did not include screws, but you can use metal or wood screws depending on the A couple of clevis pins are included to hold it in place until the installation is complete. For my brother, I ordered another one so that he can exit my house from a far more secure back door.
The new wheelchair ramp is great! I am very pleased with it! I like it even more than the description on the website. It has a tapered lip on each end so that it makes it easier to get on and off. It is lightweight enough so that even women can handle it, but it is sturdy enough so that a heavy load does not cause it to bend or waver. It's a great piece of work, well done! For the past couple of months, the ramp has made our lives so much easier, that we bought a second one for the patio at the back of the house. It was initially because this company made extra wide ramps that we chose them. Despite being a relatively simple project to complete, the workmanship is superb, which is why my husband is very impressed.
It was very useful on both the steps leading to my porch, as well as the side walks leading from the porch. Steps were between 8 and 10 It is 1 and a half inches It is now much easier to push her chair in and out of the house! It would be a good choice for me to buy again.
It is better to have a lip for safety reasons. You can easily move it with just one person.
Putting in the final touches. This is for an elderly person aged 98. That's more convenient than those expensive ramps that take a while to build. It can also be used for older.
