A hook sits on the threshold of the ramp, which allows it to hang on the door. Ideally, this ramp should only be used with a 2 inch rise and no more than 4 inches high.
An anchored ramp can be used, but one does not have to anchor it. Ours does not have anchors to make it more portable and it works perfectly.
