Questions & Answers

Do you have any restrictions on weight?

There's a lot of strength to this machine. While I weigh 230 pounds, I am pushing my mom in a wheelchair up it. I would estimate her age to be around 150. Clearly state in the info what the weight limit is.

If I get this ramp, I will be able to put my foldable mobility scooter into my Ford Focus without having to pick it up, do you think it will ?

There would be a need for a ramp that is at least 8 feet long. What are you doing as you climb the ramp I can even envision a platform that is 10 feet high. In the case of too steep an incline, you'll end up stuck at the top. As you approach ramps with 8 or 10 feet, the weight of the ramp and how you fold and unfold it become more of a concern. If the ramp ended up weighting as much as the scooter you fold, wouldn't that be ironic?

What is the maximum height of a 4 foot ramp for three and a half feet of ?

A ramp I ordered for my kitchen door to my carport. What I like about it is the step at 4 inches works perfect for my 4-inch step My three-wheel scooter with electric wheels Besides a wheelchair and wheeled electric scooter, you also need a scooter with wheels. To keep this from moving and also because the 4- feet were vulnerable to damage, I attached it using duct tape to the door step I placed a 2 x 6 board under the step because the wheel scooter is so heavy. It is amazing to have all those vehicles in one place, and I can get in and out of the kitchen with ease. This is an extremely strong, well-made product.

A power chair can be rolled on this ramp to get into a van's side door. Can it be used?

In short, yes. In spite of my absence, I have seen my son sit in the chair while driving it and steering it, as well as put in a van with it. Fortunately, the ramp is sturdy and tall enough to accommodate the weight of a car. Fortunately, we were able to make it work.

It is exactly what I was looking for
5/5

The handicap ramp I built in the backyard would have cut off the entire yard. So I stopped 4' before the drive and was going to build a temporary extension that I could pull off to get to the back yard, but then I found this and decided that it might be better. Thus, I attach my portable ramp at the end of the ramp when I am using it. Once I remove the portable ramp and can get into my backyard (more room to maneuver) I remove the In addition to its great functionality, the portable ramp is also very sturdy. The trailer has been towed by two people and a wheelchair. It has weighed about 500 pounds. There hasn't been any change in its position. There's no sign that it will bend or give In order to keep it in place, I put the pegs in. There seems to be no evidence that anything has rusted on it after sitting in the rain. There are only a few Photos can be seen here. It can be folded up easily and is easy to carry with a handle. However, the tops of the pegs are rusted. Taking it out and putting it back in is fairly straightforward. You can bet that I will use it to climb stairs at another place in the future.

A shed ramp can be used as a When we built a new storage shed, we forgot to plan for ramps needed to get things out of and into the shed, such as the lawn mower
5/5

Due to the ramp sticking out into the yard too far, we did not want to build a permanent ramp. This ramp was the first one we found when we began searching for portable ramps. In addition to being well packaged for shipping, the ramp came with instructions on how to secure it to prevent it from slipping as well as all the hardware needed to make it secure. A handle makes it easy to carry this ramp and it folds up very easily. The ramp is very light and is very sturdy. It is very suitable to walk up and down.

Even after six years, I still like it
5/5

Despite 6 years of use, this heavy duty ramp is still going strong. I can easily maneuver my 400+ pound wheelchair up and down the ramp (and so can my multiple toddlers stomping at the top and bottom). There are two holes on the ramp that you can use to screw it in place and it can easily fold up for storage. For example, if you're planning to go to a relative/friend's house that has steps to get inside, the ramps will hold up. The surface of the ramps is like sandpaper, which provides traction. The antibacterial properties of this product are excellent The surface is intended for slip-resistance, but attracts dirt and dust fairly An intense rain will make it difficult to clean, but a high-pressure hose will do the trick. Anyway, it would be better for me if it were dirty than slippery. There is only one problem, if you don't want to drill holes in your house, which is that the ramp can slip if you are In order to counter this, I buy rubber rug grips and replace them as they get dirty or rip. I love the way it works.

I was extremely pleased with this product
5/5

It did exactly what it should. Unfortunately, it was too narrow for a wheelchair with a 20 x 20 wheel. were able to get the chair up the ramp, but it was a tight fit, so we exchanged it for one measuring 31" in Our size is not ideal for this product, but it is a good product.

Several weight ratings are available
3/5

My shed ramp will be made out of this. Weight ratings do not make sense to me, not at all. In between the more substantial aluminum supports, I can feel the thin sheet metal flex under my feet. Depending on how evenly distributed the weight is over the ramp, the ramp could support 400 pounds. Although I may not need it right now, it's something I want to keep, since it'll support my tiller, generator and lawnmower. I caution you, if you are even considering going near the weight limit, to think deeply.

Taking into account the length
4/5

What is the shortest length that you offer. Rather than a longer ramp, I need a shorter one. I find the 30 inch length to be excessive. As I prepare to lower the electric chair off of three long steps, I need to move the ramp and move the chair. To get to the third step, I will have to move the ramp down one step, lower the wheel chair down one step, and then move the wheel chair to the third If it is too long, the chair will still be on the ramp, and I won't be able to get the ramp to the third step if the chair is still on it. This is a hard situation for me, I hope you understand.

It's sturdy and strong like _____
5/5

In the event that you need to move heavy or unwieldy objects around your home but you only have a 1-wheeled cart, There are three things you have to accomplish to move objects, here are the steps! The floor of my garage is two steps above the floor of my house. As a result, I no longer have to stop moving boxes or other items. There is a step between my man cave and the roof of my annex. I have no problem with that. We are as solid as ___! It won't even winch when I walk on it, even though I weigh 300 lbs. This is a decision you will not regret. In addition, be careful not to under-estimate You should avoid using a smaller size if you want to save money, as the angle of inclination may become problematic. It's better to go long It makes it easier to move heavier items, especially when they are heavy.

This item is well made, it's light, sturdy, transportable, lightweight, and works exactly the way it's supposed to
5/5

This product is definitely worth the price. However, you should be wary of fakes. When you call Prairie View Industries, they will answer all of your questions about their products, they stand behind their products, and they have a good product line. If that is of any interest to anyone, it was built in the United States as well.
