Questions & Answers

What is the diameter of the hole left after the rubber tip at the bottom is removed so I can attach a tripod or quadpod?

The tubing has a diameter of 3/4 inch.

Is this the cane for someone who is 6 feet tall?

This being 6 feet will not be an issue for you. It fits me perfectly at 6'4".

Is the wrist loop replaceable?

Easily. A ring, similar to those found on key rings, is used to secure it. The wrist loop can be removed in the same way that a key is removed from a keyring. The plastic plug at the top of the cane can be removed if you don't like the small bump. out of the keyring's attachment point, but this would leave the cane's upper end open. The bump- Out is quite small, so it shouldn't be an issue. The plug is rubbery, so you could probably cut it out with a knife.

Is there a rubber handle on this?

The actual handle is strong steel tubing, just like the rest of the cane, and it has a nice foam rubber grip over it. It's soft and gives you enough traction to keep your grip on the cane. There isn't a better way to say it.

Gummy Stickers in the shape of a cane
4/5

This is an excellent cane. Because I am a Prime member, the two I ordered arrived quickly, and Amazon fulfilled the order. br>br>To shorten or lengthen the cane, press the silver button and move the lower portion up or down. To keep it secure, the button will be inserted into another hole. You'll want to tighten the nut (?) for extra security. ) around the cane in case the silver button falls off. For more information, please see the photos attached. It's likely that you've seen a set like this before. a head start br>br>I bought two of these canes after borrowing one from a friend when I was dealing with a knee problem. My cane went missing in a taxi, never to be seen again, indicating that my knee was improving. br>br>If it weren't for the numerous stickers on each cane and the amount of time it will take me to de-stick them, these canes would have gotten 5 stars. The canes are being chewed on.

I received the cane today and was pleased with both the price and the quality
5/5

The grip on the cane is secure, and the cane is sturdy. The finish had a few small scuffs when it arrived, but that won't bother you because it will get more scuffs with use. In response to some of the negative feedback: br>br> br>br>The factory stickers are more difficult to remove than they should be, but they're no more difficult to remove than the labels on new appliances. Using a few paper towels and my go-to cleaning solution, I was able to easily remove them from the cane. to remover of stickers: fluid for lighters The fluid gradually softens/dissolves the glue, and it has never caused any damage to the finishes I've applied it to. br>br>According to some reviews, the metal pipe punches through the rubber tip, leaving a rubber plug inside the pipe; therefore, I planned to put a steel washer inside the tip so that the pipe would push on the washer rather than directly on the rubber. The cane already had a steel washer in that location when I removed the tip. It's possible that the people who had the issue had defective canes in which the washer had been left out by the manufacturer. Because the washer prevents the pipe from cutting the rubber, I don't see how a rubber plug could end up inside the pipe. br>br>At least one review claimed the cane was dangerous, claiming that the length adjustment's locking ring did not firmly hold the cane at the desired length, and that the cane could collapse without warning. The ring does not serve as a length adjuster. The ring tightens to keep the inner and outer pipes from rattling against each other after you've set the length, not to keep it there. A spring-loaded pin pops through one of several pre-drilled holes to set the length. drilled holes in the cane's backside The cane was delivered fully collapsed to its shortest length, and the pin was completely hidden (all adjustment holes were "empty"). I loosened the locking ring and extended the cane until the pin was visible beyond the end of the outer pipe, then turned the inner pipe to align the pin with the column of holes in the outer pipe and pushed the pipes together to shorten the cane, selecting the hole that gave me the right length. I then tightened the locking ring to prevent the pipes from rattling. There is no issue, and the length is a firm and secure setting. br>br>According to at least one review, a therapist referred to the cane as "junk" and advised customers to purchase a better one. The therapist, in my opinion, was looking to sell some equipment. I've never seen a cane as sturdy as this one. I intended to purchase a cane locally, but the "discount" store demanded $27. Instead, I used Prime to get this one for under $12 (delivered), and there is no difference in the canes other than price.

Only two could be easily removed
4/5

However. This cane performed admirably for the price. MULTIPLE tags were strewn across the cane; Only two could be easily removed. However, I had Goo Gone on hand, so after removing as much of the paper as I could, I used the Goo Gone to remove the rest, and the company should consider replacing all of the tags with a paper insert.

The cane is great, but the stickers are terrible
3/5

I'm guessing Medline is hoping that when their customers see those stickers, they'll think they're too difficult to remove, allowing their brand to become more visible. This isn't a Mercedes, sorry. It's a cane, in case you didn't notice. And the person using the cane probably doesn't want to attract any more attention than they already do without it. With that in mind, I purchased a plain black cane (with no distracting patterns, colors, or designs) in the hopes of appearing a little more refined. It arrived this morning and appeared to be in perfect condition, so I began removing the minimal packaging, which was relatively simple. The stickers were the only thing left for me to do. Who wants a sticker proclaiming the maximum weight capacity, brand, and so on to the world? "Hey, in case you didn't know, I'm disabled. " " To return to the car analogy, who wants to keep the dealer license plate frame that provides them with free advertising when they have a nice car? Not me. So the stickers are a pain to remove, and I'm going to have to drag my disabled self down to the basement, where I'm hoping to find a bottle of Goof Off to remove the sticky residue. I'm hoping I'll be able to get down there, find the materials, and make this cane look (and feel) like it did right out of the box.

It's something I can't imagine not having
5/5

Following a total knee replacement, I required assistance in getting around. My therapist suggested that I use this type of cane. I had a right knee replacement and was holding it in my right hand, which he explained was incorrect and that I should hold it in my left hand instead. It was a little strange at first, but I quickly adjusted, and he was correct. On the other side of the injury, you walk with a cane. Nonetheless, it assisted me in moving around a lot until the healing process began. I keep it in my bag just in case, but it hasn't been used in over a month. However, it was a good cane at a good price.

This is a great basic cane
4/5

Just a few days ago, I paid $14 for this, and it's now down to $11. At $14, it was a great deal. I'm thinking of getting another for the car at a lower price. The construction is sturdy, but the weight is light. Height can be changed easily. There isn't a tripod base or a flashlight built-in. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because it's a good, basic cane that does everything it needs to do at a reasonable price. What do you think of the star system? The cane is packaged in a plastic bag. I'm pretty sure my cane has been unpacked before because the bag had a large hole torn in it. And, despite the fact that people have been complaining about the hard to remove stickers on the cane for the past two years in these reviews, it still comes with a slew of them. Some peel away, but glue residue remains. Some only peel off in bits and pieces.
