Questions & Answers
Because the cane shaft is made up of one piece from tip to junction ring, it is quite long. Cane shaft, handle, and junction ring are all separated from the cane body by unscrewing the handle.
I'm unable to make a duplicate or repair it. Sorry.
It is a length that has been ordered specifically for you. I ordered a 34-inch length, and it was delivered in that length.

This is the second time I've used an Asterom cane. My first cane had a Labrador head on the pommel to represent my affection for the breed. This one exudes a sense of understated sophistication. Despite the fact that it lacks a headpiece, its superb craftsmanship and striking beauty elevate it to the level of a work of art. br>br>These two canes have prompted me to start a collection, and while my third purchase was made from another vendor, I will return to Asterom for my fourth and subsequent purchases. br>br>I only had to deal with one person, but it was over several emails as I contemplated gathering these. Alex has demonstrated that he genuinely cares about his clients by promptly and thoroughly responding to their questions. He believes in his brand so much that he once talked me out of buying something, knowing that what he loses in a single sale, he will make up for many times over by gaining a lifelong customer. If you require assistance or have any concerns, I strongly advise you to contact him. He is an expert in his field and has a great deal of regard for his customers. br>br>I have no reservations in recommending it.
My cane is one of my most prized possessions. The maker had packaged it extremely well, and it arrived in excellent condition. The way Amazon handles the delivery box is a different story (I've noticed that many of my recent Amazon deliveries have been treated badly, with boxes being damaged!). ) In any case, this cane is far superior to previous wood canes I've bought from other stores. The cane's handle and shaft come packaged separately, as does the detailed collar. This allows you to see the core of the wood that was used to make the cane (a lovely solid oak). Simply screw the handle, which has a very long screw secured into the body, onto the shaft with the ring in between, and you've got yourself a magnificent cane. The handle is one of the most comfortable I've ever used: It has additional carving on the wood that allows your thumb to nestle right in there, which, in my opinion, leads to better stability. The wood grain is lovely, the color is deep, and the rubber tip is attached and of good quality. Alex, I appreciate you sharing your skills.
I expected quality from a handcrafted walking cane when I ordered it, and I was not let down. The craftsmanship is excellent, and the finish is on par with it in every way. Anyone considering purchasing a cane should consider this one. In my case, the problem is one of balance. I'll talk to my PT instructor about the proper length because I'm not sure I'm qualified to judge such an important factor. After inspecting and testing the cane, I placed an order for a second cane in a different color because I believe I need a backup. Thank you for your kind words, Asterom.
br>I cut it too short by accident, but the seller quickly remedied the situation by taking the initiative to make the purchase right. Measuring from the top of the handle to the bottom of the shaft gives you the total length of the cane. br> I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service and would enthusiastically recommend this business.
Mom takes a morning walk because she is afraid of dogs. I did my homework and purchased a hickory axe handle, but it was far too heavy and had a poor grip. I ordered the dark brown hickory cane after reading rave reviews on Asterom Canes' website. It arrived in a timely manner, complete with a genuine seal! I like that the cane is made by hand, that it's light but strong, and that it's silky smooth to the touch. She says she's getting a lot of compliments: )br>br>When I was younger, I used to steal my grandfather's cane (which I still have). I saw a Darth handle cane on the website and decided to get it instead of stealing hers! br>br>The four-star rating for ergonomics is based solely on the fact that her wrist was sore after her walk, which we both believe is more of a 70-year-old issue. wrists and acclimating to the cane's weight (it's not heavy, but neither is it hollow aluminum). Just a heads up for seniors: a spherical head with wrist strap might suffice.
My cane showed up today. It was well-packaged and arrived in perfect condition. It has a high level of craftsmanship. The oak is strong and free of flaws. The walnut veneer has a lovely sheen to it. The ambidextrous derby handle design is very nice, and the cane shaft has been expertly turned with a gradual taper. The rubber tip is nothing special, but it is a rubber tip, and a spare was provided. br> The celtic collar ring is lovely and complements the cane's beauty. A free US Army collar ring was offered as a special, and I received one. It's also very nice; it has meaning for me because I'm a veteran, but the celtic one is more appealing without it. The collar heights differ by about a quarter of an inch. The handle and shaft are seated in the collar ring, but there is a gap (UNSEEN) between them. I think I'll get some flat pan washers to fill in that gap, giving the handle and shaft more bearing beyond the collar ring's lip. I don't believe it's stainless steel because the threaded stud in the handle is magnetic. It appears to be securely fastened in the handle, but it is slightly out of plumb. However, when threaded into the shaft female threaded insert and seated into the collar, everything fits squarely. br>I'm glad I bought the cane because it feels sturdy and well-made. It has class, unlike many other canes I looked at but didn't consider because I wanted something that was more than just functional; I wanted something that was also beautiful. br>Go ahead and get one; you will not be disappointed.
It was extremely easy to put together, but most importantly, the person I bought it for, my 83-year-old mother, adored it and expressed her gratitude. She was ready to ditch the walker in favor of a cane after her knee replacement surgery. This one in particular caught my eye and I knew I had to have it because it's solid and one-of-a-kind. It's a significant improvement over the adjustable aluminum canes with obnoxious colors and prints. She is deserving of a cane that has been handcrafted especially for her. I chose the caramel color for her because she deserves the best. It's a lovely wood. I'm very happy with it and would strongly recommend it to anyone who appreciates a traditional walking cane. Thank you very much.
