This is a beautiful paint job (actually extremely beautiful), and it functions just fine. Compared to a foam grip, with this grip, the shape is excellent, and its shape makes it much easier on the hand. The other reviewers and I are in agreement The color of the paint is much more subdued than it appears on the screen. This is actually a very elegant design. Despite these two problems with this cane, I dislike two other aspects of it. 1). the lower tube rattles and the anti-rattle device does not work It does not help to rattle the ring. My old cane (also from Drive) has a smaller tube circumference than it's inside diameter, so the smaller tube is much smaller than my old cane. 2) the gel handle is quite slippery when Otherwise, it's a very comfortable and secure place to stay.
