Questions & Answers

Is this a telescoping cane or one that folds?

This cane has a telescoping feature.

How tall can the cane go?

Brandon, how are you? 40" at the top of the handle is the maximum height. The lower side of the handle measures 39 inches.

Why didn't you write the ajustment sizes for each of your canes you put up for sale if they are adjustable highs?

Adjust the height by one inch to ensure that it is the correct length for any user.

Is the handle made of latex-free material?

I recommend contacting "CAREX," the cane's manufacturer. They should have a contact page on their website.

If you use a cane, be cautious of the tips
3/5

I'm pleased with the cane; it's sturdy, light, and well-made. It is tall enough for me (6'5) and does not wiggle or click between the two telescoping pieces thanks to the telescoping height adjustment with twist tightening systems. The rubber tip on the end wore out in less than two weeks, which was my only complaint. The provided tip does not have a metal disk support to keep the cane tube from breaking through the tip's bottom. (I say metal disk because this is a common problem, and replacement rubber tips will have a metal disk to reinforce the rubber tip, as I discovered while researching a replacement rubber tip. ) It would have been nice if the original cane had a more durable tip. Before anyone points out that I was putting too much weight on the tip, I should point out that I recently had my hip replaced, so I was leaning heavily on the cane for the first two weeks. Returning to the advantages, I like the cane and would recommend it; however, you should consider purchasing replacement tips as well.

It's a cane that doesn't click while you're using it! This cane is extremely effective
5/5

It did make that clicking noise, but I was able to eliminate it! My physical therapist detected the noise and informed me that the adjustable middle section was missing a washer. I disassembled it and discovered a washer lodged inside the cane upon closer inspection. The washer and other components can be seen in the photo. Once the parts are in the proper order (as shown in the photo), adjust the height, then tighten the knob, and the washer will disappear beneath it. Clicking is no longer an option. I hope this information is useful to you.

It's a decent unit, but it's not ideal for me
4/5

I'm using this cane to help me get back on my feet after breaking my tibia a month ago. Overall, the product feels/works well, was well packaged for shipping, and arrived on time. br>br>The adjustability works like a crutch, with push-button adjustments. The lower strut is locked into the upper strut when the button is pressed. A simple screw cap holds the two pieces firmly and securely together, preventing rattling or instability (and I'm a big guy). Even with my clumsy left hand, the cane feels very sturdy. br>br>My only gripe is that it's designed to have one finger in front of the strut and three behind it, and the handle's attachment to the strut is a little too wide for the space between my index and middle finger. The handle is wider than the strut as it tapers down where it attaches, as shown in the profile picture. On my "test drives," I found this to be a little unsettling, so I sacrificed some grip. br>br>I'll give it a few more days as I work my way off crutches, but if I can't get past the grip, I'll have to look for a full handle where my entire hand fits on it. I think this is a lot nicer than the hospital style, where the post curves around the hand, but for my purposes, I'm more concerned with function than form.

FULLY ADJUSTABLE IN LENGTH
4/5

SURFACES ARE EXTREMELY DURABLE. NICE AND DURABLE. FULLY ADJUSTABLE IN LENGTH. OUTSIDE ON UNEVEN GROUND, I WEIGH 260 AND USE IT AS A STABILIZER. MY SENSE OF BALANCE HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY BY DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY, SO I FALL EASILY. A FALL AT THE AGE OF 75 CAN BE THE START OF THE END. AARGH!.

Kane has a wonderful soft-touch handle
5/5

I like the Kane, but I'm going to replace the bottom pad with one of those little four-inch pads. I bought it because the handle is soft and smooth and doesn't give me blisters or calluses on my palm like the old ones that are slick and hard. I would recommend this cane to anyone who needs one because it feels great in your hand and won't hurt your skin.

I expected it to be more solid and better, but it turned out to be even better
5/5

I assumed it was continuously telescoping, with the twist lock at the bottom of the outer section holding it in place.
But. It has a row of set holes in one-inch increments and a mechanical button that pops through and locks everything together in one solid piece. When I put my weight on it, there's no way it'll collapse. Moreover, the twist lock works to eliminate the rattle from the section that is contained within the other. I'd say it's a keeper because it accelerates well, doesn't push in the corners, and stops on a dime!.

Excellent purchase; I would make the same purchase again
5/5

Cane is extremely strong, fantastic, and long-lasting. It also doesn't appear to be half-bad. It isn't all bad. br>br>February br>br>February br>br>February br>br>February 5, 2018: I've had this cane for almost a year and it's still going strong. It works so well that I get worried if I misplace it for an extended period of time. The grip is perfect and comfortable; it raises and lowers easily, and everything is held in place tight and snugly. This was an excellent purchase that I have no regrets about. The only difference is that I swapped out the bumper. mabob, and replaced it with a much higher-quality glow-in-the-dark glow-in-the-dark glow-in- the- dark.

This is a good choice, and I believe it is essentially what it should be
4/5

I purchased it as well as the Vive folding cane, which has a similar handle. This cane has less rattle/wobble than the folding cane. Also, the handle on this one is a little flatter on top (which some people prefer), and the drop is a little more abrupt. I don't like the gap between the handle and the shaft. This style of handle irritates the knuckle on my middle finger, which rubs against the hard plastic near where the rubberized part of the grip ends, due to the way I hold it. As a result, after using this cane for a while, I'm considering switching to an offset handle cane.
