A hand-held shower head is used by the majority of people who use this type of bath chair. No, you won't be able to close a glass shower door if you're sitting in this chair. Or a slide-in chair of any kind. When you use a hand-held shower head, however, the water stays closer to your body.
It is unavoidably high. A 4" or 8" extension kit is the only way to increase it.
Because I threw out the cartons a long time ago, I don't have exact measurements. However, I believe it to be around 40 x 20 x 6" as I recall.

The fact that it slides was appealing. swivels. But I wasn't expecting this; more durable padding is required. It was only for two months that I had it. br>A phone call to the vendor resulted in a successful transaction. In less than a week, the vendor sent a REPLACEMENT handle bar to fix the issue.
It was purchased for my stepfather, who recently lost his leg. He used it without any assistance and couldn't stop talking about it. He hadn't used the shower in several days since returning home from rehab. He was overjoyed that we had discovered it for him. He's a big guy, around 250 pounds, and he's in great shape. The item is superior to what they advertise. It has significantly improved his overall attitude, which is a significant benefit to the entire family. Yes, this product is something I would recommend.
My father's dignity and independence have been restored thanks to this bench. With this secure and long-lasting bench, he can shower once more. I bought a sliding bath bench for my mother many years ago, but it was bulky, heavy, and had a cold plastic seat. I would recommend this Gateway Bench to anyone looking for a sliding bath bench because it is the perfect size for his small bathroom, it is light weight but sturdy, and the padded seat provides comfort. Knowing that our father can safely perform a basic daily activity has given my family a great deal of peace of mind. Finally, Platinum Health offers outstanding customer service, and the Gateway Bench is backed by a one-year warranty. I hope this review aids you in your search and that purchasing a bath bench provides even the tiniest bit of comfort during a difficult time.
The product was delivered quickly, was simple to put together, and took up less space than I expected. Showering had previously been difficult due to the effort required to maneuver her legs over the tub's side, but with the transfer bench, this problem has been completely eliminated, and the swivel seat makes getting into and out of the seat a breeze. This is the transfer bench to get if you want to make showering safer and easier for yourself or a loved one.
Following a stroke, my wife is unable to use her left hand, arm, or leg. She can now shower because of this product. The build quality is excellent, with a good fit and function, smooth rotation, and simple "side action. " The control latches are simple to use and are in the ideal location for her. I'm sure it would work just as well if someone needed to use it "in the opposite direction. " br> I was concerned that it wouldn't be long enough, but the side travel makes it compact and out of the way when not in use. I'm a 270-pound woman. Despite the fact that he weighed 330 pounds, he didn't feel threatened by the stability. This unit appears to have a high rating. br> If this meets your needs and fits your space, it's a fantastic deal.
My profession is in the medical field. It was my first time taking care of an elderly parent. You may think you know what you're doing, but I was a complete novice when it came to bathing safely; however, thanks to your chair, I can practically walk away. When it comes to determining which side of the injury or which way the fixtures are facing, the 360-degree rotation is extremely useful. Even with 200 pounds on the slide, it is effortless. Many thanks, many thanks, many thanks, many thanks, many thanks, many thanks, many.
The shower chair is exactly what we needed! It has made our father's life much easier. My Dad and his home health aide appreciate the swivel and slide because it makes getting in and out of the shower much easier because he can comfortably raise his legs over the side of the tub while seated. There's no need to be concerned about shower falls. The seat is more comfortable than a standard hard plastic bench, though Dad still uses a waterproof foam donut on the seat due to bed sores. It's simple to clean and maintain, and it's also very light. The only reason I gave the durability rating of four stars is because of this. It isn't heavy, but it isn't particularly durable. It might be more difficult to manage if it's too heavy. It can be easily removed from and reinserted into the shower as needed. br>The only thing that would make it easier to store would be if it were collapsible/foldable, but we're very pleased with the chair overall. It has made a significant difference, and because it is now easier for Dad to shower, he is more likely to do so on a daily basis rather than relying on a home health aide twice a week. Exceptional bonus opportunity!.
In my shower, this chair took the place of a smaller seat. I couldn't lift my legs higher than 7 inches to enter and exit my shower stall anymore. This one is ideal for me because I can stay seated in the shower for the entire time. If I want my butt and private parts washed while I'm in the shower, however, I'll have to stand. It's certainly preferable to spending tens of thousands of dollars on bathroom renovations. It takes up a lot of room, so make sure you measure before installing it, especially if it'll be in a shower stall. Because my right hand is spastic, reaching the button to rotate the seat, which is on the right side, is difficult, and the knob to slide the seat in and out is in the back, rather than the front, took several attempts before I felt comfortable using it. I'd be able to get to the front more easily. I'm only 5 feet tall. Because I am tall, my feet do not touch the ground, and I do not sit back as far as someone who is a few inches taller. This purchase has left me with no regrets. In a heartbeat, I'd buy it again!.
