It's in the shower with us right now. There is, in fact, an orange-colored object. Directly beneath the teak bench, there is a brown discoloration in the white/light grey grout. It can be removed quickly with a 50/50 water/hydrogen peroxide spray mixture and a light scrub brush.
Despite the fact that all of our benches and stools are extremely sturdy, they are all rated for a maximum weight of 250 pounds, which is the industry standard.
The depth of the bench (13.25 inches) is just under 14 inches. (To be more specific, 75 inches.)
All of our products are made of 100% solid teak wood and are hardened with stainless steel hardware. All of the stools and benches are extremely sturdy, but those with shelves provide an additional layer of support. This bench is extremely durable and is one of our best-selling items.

Unfortunately, I had to contact them about this last product (the 36" bench), and their customer service is terrible. Fortunately, I was able to solve the problem, and everything turned out fine, but be warned: You will receive a small- If you require assistance, there will be none available.
This was purchased about 5 months ago, and it has been in our shower for about 4 months. Today, I noticed that some of the wood is deteriorating, almost to the point of becoming a sand-like substance. Our shower is large, and even though it is in a corner where there isn't much water, it will still get wet from the water or mist when we shower. The degrading material was getting into our grout and drain, so I had to remove it. Overall, I didn't expect much from an Amazon shower bench for $250, but given that it's designed for showers, I'm surprised it didn't last longer.
I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality and sturdiness of this bench; I had hoped for something a little more spacious and less clinical in appearance. I'm getting ready for foot surgery and, despite being a senior citizen, I couldn't bear the thought of putting something plastic in there, so this teak looks fantastic. It's the perfect height, and the bottom shelf adds a nice touch. I couldn't be happier!.
This is a fantastic teak furniture piece! In our walk-in closet, we placed a bench. It has held up amazingly well in the shower, despite being soaked on a regular basis. I would recommend getting the teak oil to keep the lovely golden color of the wood. This purchase has made us very happy. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it's well worth it!.
There were some initial issues, but they were quickly resolved by customer service. The teak bench arrived, but the box had been through some rough times. The box's top narrow side was missing and had been taped over. Although the wood appeared to be in good condition, there were no instructions or hardware. I emailed AquaTeak customer service, and they promptly mailed me the missing hardware and instructions. With some light persuasion with a mallet, the bench came together. It's a sturdy bench. br>I can't say I blame AquaTeak for what happened to the package during shipping.
I did not purchase this bench to be used inside the shower stall, but I am aware that teak wood is the way to go when it comes to water. The hardware (bolts and threaded inserts in the wood) is stainless steel, and the leveling pads are stainless steel bolts with the heads covered in a sturdy synthetic material to prevent damage to the floor. An Allen wrench is included as the only tool required to assemble the four pre-assembled pieces. I keep mine in the bathroom where I can sit and dress after a shower. We treated the teak wood the same way we treated the teak wood on the sailboat because it was teak. This was done before the bench was ever submerged in water. We also assembled the bench with a hand drill, which eliminated any potential assembly issues. The bench is very attractive.
Please double-check your measurements. The measurements are incorrect, but it does not fit in my shower like I wanted it to or as a bench across the end of our bed. It's a nice piece that is very sturdy, but make sure you double-check your shower measurements because it will not fit in most showers because it is too wide. I am disappointed because I really wanted that thing in my shower, but it is a well-built piece.
