Before I bought this seat, I measured my bath tub and it was 17 inches wide (side to side). This bath seat fit perfectly in my tub.
They cost $6 and can be found at Walmart. 88 - "Carex Walker" is a good place to start. Tips for Using a Bath Bench" - They're white, and I recently purchased this bench, which I adore. But, just in case the black rubber tips were leaking dye onto my off-white shirt, I was looking for replacement tips. Shower floor is made of white fiberglass.
No, there is no rust on this tub chair, and it is the only one I could find without metal legs or parts. I use this chair to stand on to put in lightbulbs, etc. It appears to be entirely plastic, but it is very sturdy, if a little heavy to be honest. Just make an effort to find a tub chair without metal legs. This is the only one there is.
Thank you so much for getting in touch with us at Active Forever. Yes, once it's put together, the legs can be removed. Please don't hesitate to contact us if we can help you in any other way.

WARNING: IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME USING A BATH SHOWER CHAIR: (Like myself) If you're bathing in this chair, I imagine you'd sit on it naked like a jaybird and bathe as you normally would with soap. I received an excellent lesson the first time I did it. WHEN USING SOAP ON THIS SEAT, if you don't put anything on top of it, the soap will make it so slippery that you'll be sliding off before you know it. I was inches away from sliding off the front of this chair and tried to pull myself back on, but it was difficult because my hands were soapy, and this plastic is so slippery with soap on it that I literally had to push myself back onto the seat with my legs. I was terrified, and I was on the verge of collapsing into the bathtub. The only way I can think of to avoid this problem is to place a hand towel on the seat and sit on it, hoping that this will keep me from slamming into it. br>br>I've been waiting to see if anyone else has mentioned how slippery this seat is when you first start using the soap, but no one has, so I'm wondering if I'm the only one who doesn't realize you should always put a towel or something on the seat before bathing. There should be a 'WARNING LABEL' telling you this, but I didn't see anything to that effect. br>The ONLY reason I gave it 1 star is because I believe it is sturdy, but will it hold up years down the road? I guess if I keep the chair, I'll find out.
Despite the product's excellent design, I am forced to give it a one-star rating due to sanitary concerns. When you order something like this, you expect it to be brand new, primarily for sanitary reasons. This bench, on the other hand, arrived unsealed and in damaged packaging. I couldn't return because I needed it right away, so I had to bleach it thoroughly. When I washed it, I noticed a yellow film and a few hairs had come off. It disgusts me that this is being sold. Without a doubt, I will write to this company to request a refund. Be careful who you buy from.
I should've photographed it to demonstrate how bad it was. When I sat on it, all four legs were bent to the right, so I had to push against the shower wall to keep from falling. That seat, however, is no longer required. It was thrown out with the rest of the trash and moved on to a wonderful wonder. It may seem strange to say that about a shower seat, but if you've ever needed one, you'll understand what I mean. I quickly scrolled past the picture of this white plastic seat when I saw it. How about a seat made of plastic? What an amusing remark. Who would design a seat like this? Who in their right mind would purchase such a seat? Anyway, after looking at over a hundred, I returned to the white plastic one, this time with greater interest, as it had received positive feedback! For those of us who have had bariatric surgery, it was highly recommended. So I placed an order for one. I was skeptical because it appeared to be very small and was made of plastic. I'm writing to tell you that I adore it! It has plenty of room for my large bottom. It was simple to change the height to suit my needs. It has odd-looking legs with slightly pointed "rubber feet," but they never seem to stick to the shower floor! Finally, it's a solid piece of furniture. You might wonder how durable it is. Well, it's sturdy enough for my 260-pound body (well, I'm down to 225 now) and doesn't give when I sit or move an inch while showering! Please don't think twice about purchasing this seat. It will be the very last one you purchase!.
I'm not disabled and only needed a small stool for a few occasions, so standing room is preferable. They won't let you return it because it hasn't been used or even sat on - When you buy it, the description does not make this clear. I've only ever returned a few items from Amazon, but I've never had a problem. So, needless to say, I'm stuck with an unusable product, and I'm not happy about it because it should have been made clear before I purchased it that I'd be stuck with it. USE CAUTION WHEN BUYING!.
Putting it together and leveling it was a piece of cake. When I was unscrewing the legs to adjust the height of my tub, I used a rule to measure the distance. If you're looking for a quick way to level the seat, there are no parts to rust and no tools required other than the ruler mentioned. br>There are large "screw" type legs inside the legs that extend when turned. The seat height is determined by this. br>We have a tiny tub that works perfectly for us. It's lightweight and has drainage holes, which I like. I'm sure my husband will take it out of our only shower in the house when he gets ready in the morning, leaving me with the task of getting it in the tub when I need to shower after my knees are replaced, so I'm glad I got it ahead of time so I can test it out and make sure I can do it on my own when I need to later this summer. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable it was, as well as how sturdy, light, and simple it was to assemble.
I'm a big lady. This is an amazing chair. I am a large woman who weighs 300 pounds. Sitting in this chair, I feel very safe. It's comfortable and simple to put together. In our mobile home, we have a small tub. It's the perfect size for the chair.
I'm overjoyed that I purchased it! I've been using this for about a month and a half since I had knee surgery. There were no issues. When I saw that many reviews had issues with bent in legs, I steered clear of the chairs with aluminum legs. This is a solid piece of equipment. It fit (a little snugly) in my shower, but despite the legs being a little too close to the tub's curved wall, it does not wobble. I can easily move from the tub's ledge to the top of it and vice versa. I'll probably keep using it for shaving even after I'm fully healed because it's made it so simple! br>br>For the record, I'm 5'1" and 110 pounds. If necessary, I could most likely fit on half of the seat.
