I recently received my son's report, and neither the disease nor monogenic disease profiles contained any information on MTHFR. It did, of course, cover genetic tendencies as a cause of some of the symptoms.

This kit was less expensive than others, but we didn't sacrifice anything by choosing this one because it came from a reputable company with a short wait time. This company far exceeded my expectations when compared to another I tried! Overall, it took about a month to get the kit. results. There's a lot of information here, such as ancestry origins and personality traits - Tests for carrier diseases on the hair, eyes, freckles, and other body parts WHICHEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY A SEQUENCING/NEBULA GENOMICS KIT. br>WHICHEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY A SEQUENCING/NEBULA GENOMICS KIT. We had been waiting for five months. I'm still waiting for answers. Those who did receive results said they didn't trust them because they showed they were in male puberty when they were actually female, or that they had six different African ancestors when they were actually European.
I'm giving it a neutral rating because it's a complete set that comes nicely packaged and ready to use, but I'm disappointed because I couldn't use it. My problem arises when registering; it states that I must provide legal documents for myself and my daughter in order to create an account; however, in this day and age, when you just don't know what's going on with secure data on the internet, especially with a foreign government, I didn't feel comfortable providing that information to complete the registration. I wanted to use it for my daughter, who is of Caribbean, Nordic, and Central European descent, but we don't know much about our family's health history or anything like that, so I figured this test would be a great source of information for us. Someone please let me know if there is a way to avoid having to send legal documents to register. I'd like to be able to submit this test and receive the information that it claims to provide.

With the help of DNA, the test will reveal any potential health problems or traits. It's simple to do: swap out the mouth and send the DNA into the company. Make sure to register your kit online first, as this is how it will track your DNA process and deliver your results. I received an email with my results about a month after I submitted mine. I sent in my own DNA rather than my child's for the sake of the process and review. I wanted to see how everything worked firsthand. Because I am a middle-aged woman, I am already aware of the majority of health issues that I may have or may develop in the future. This is an approach to baby/child testing that isn't typically used. While the majority of my relatives have taken a DNA test with a reputable company, I have not. I wanted my son to try the TellmeGen Children DNA Test because it provides a lot of information that other companies don't (unless you share it with another service). br>br>With the TellmeGen Children DNA Test, you get information on Disease Prediposition, Monogenic Disease, Personal Traits and Wellness, Ancestry, and DNA Connect. br>br> br>br>I know some people have trouble spitting enough saliva into a vial (which is then mixed with another fluid), so this makes things a lot easier to use swabs. br>br>The cost is around $150, which may seem high for a DNA test, but it's important to remember that you get a lot more information than just ancestry. You can find out about genetic predisposition to complex diseases, whether the person is a carrier of a monogenic disease, personality traits, and more. br>br>So, it's definitely worth thinking about, and I believe that the tellmeGen kits provide excellent value for the money, and the raw data from tellmeGen can be downloaded in. If needed, the data can be exported to a csv file and shared with other websites. br>br>It does take four people. It takes 6 weeks to receive results, which is comparable to the time it takes for major genealogy services to provide DNA testing. br>br>However, I appreciate that tellmeGen goes above and beyond other DNA testing services.
