THE BELT MEASURES 6 INCHES WIDE BY 36 INCHES LONG AND IS AVAILABLE IN A VARIETY OF SIZES.
It was helpful following my hernia surgery.
I haven't tried it yet, but I would wash it by hand and hang it to dry. The pad is the only thing that would make me nervous, so don't soak it.

This belt was purchased for my husband, who is suffering from his third umbilical hernia, yes third. He avoids using the pressure pad because it causes his hernia discomfort. He, on the other hand, wears the belt. It is something he adores. He was wearing a belt that was much wider from top to bottom, which rolled and bunched and was a pain to deal with. Plus, his previous belt provided very little actual support; this one, on the other hand, performs admirably. Even though he's a big guy with a big belly, this looks great on him. When he wears it, he doesn't get as hot, and it stays in place. He's never had a better hernia support belt than this one.
She has a weight of 108 pounds. I originally ordered the small size for her because she is so petite. I returned it and ordered a replacement because it was too small for me. I ordered the large size this time, but it still didn't fit around her waist, so I'm not even going to try ordering an XL size. On the plus side, I can use the small foam pad that came with the support belt, which is Velcro-attached and can be used with other support belts. My mother's existing Home Depot back support belt worked fine, but she might need to go up a size to accommodate the foam pad. Aside from that, I don't think this product is worth your money.
On Amazon, I purchased the top three rated umbilical bands. I wanted to compare them to see which one would be the most effective, and this one by Wondercare is very well made. The band, however, is far too narrow, and the sizes are small. I bought three of them, and they were all the same size. 2 inches wider than the other two. They stayed put and were a perfect match. I wore each for four to six hours three days in a row as I went about my daily routine. I wanted to be objective and give everyone a fair shot. As a result, we wore the same clothes with each other (yes, they were washed daily). I was able to put the other two on without difficulty. Despite the fact that I had to wear them backwards. It's not easy to aline velcro behind your back while blindly attempting to do so. The velcro would scratch and irritate my skin when it was out of alignment. Put it on backwards and twist it around to the front for a quick fix. The Wondercare had piqued my interest. It's well-made (much better than the other two). On Amazon, they were all the top three rated books. If the Wondercare was 4 inches longer and 2 inches wider, I would give it five stars. It clings to your waist because it is narrower. went all the way up to my boobs. It is extremely irritating. The Wondercare will be returned, but the other two will be kept. As a result, I always have one on hand when the other needs to be washed.
Rolls down from its original position: To be more specific, The belt's sizing isn't precise. There is no room for a pad because the bag is too small. It also doesn't stay put and rolls down as you walk. It will roll down and out of place of any navel area unless you have a thin body type with a low BMI. It's pointless to write a review that doesn't address body size. I just tried to find a belt that would be less visible under my shirt, but this isn't the solution. If you have the correct waist size, a wide belt with shoulder straps is far superior.
In comparison to other belts, it deserves a five-star rating, but it requires more than one support slat to avoid severe side curling. Aside from that, it has given me support so that I can move more freely with a large hernia that developed after surgery. On April 30th, I will have a 12 inch ventral hernia repaired. The procedure will take six hours to complete. Thanks to this belt, I've been able to tolerate it a little bit better. I'll see about adding those two support side slats if I'm able to use it after surgery as a preventative and security support.
My umbilical hernia has previously been treated with surgery. It was a failure, and the pain and discomfort are only getting worse. I feel so much better with this belt on. Although you can see the bulge beneath your clothes, the relief it provides is well worth it. It also helps to keep the hernia contained within the body.
I'm 4'11" and don't have much of a waist, but this 5" band has helped! I'm glad I gave it another shot. To add some extra comfort, I'm going to try making a fleece sleeve.
Heavier, thicker, and rougher than expected, so it'll show through under summer-weight clothing. br>Doesn't breathe well in hot weather, making it sweaty. br>I would have returned it if it had been returnable. I took a different approach. As it stands, I'll have to make do for the time being.
