Without a doubt. My husband wore his for two months, and I washed it once a week without any issues.
MEDIUM SHOULD BE PERFECT FOR ME, AS I AM 35 AND THE MED IS A LITTLE SNUG AND THE LARGE IS A LITTLE LOOSE. BOTH WORK WELL, BUT IF IN DOUBT, I'D CHOOSE THE LARGER SIZE.
You should see a doctor right away. If your intestines are bulging, you have a tare in the lining that requires surgery to fix. br>Until surgery, I was able to manage by using the supporter and pushing the bulge back in until surgery could be scheduled. If you're having problems with the bulge and can't seem to get it back in, seek medical help right away. It's possible that a section of your intestine is pinched off and begins to decay.

I have to wait nine days to see a surgeon about my new inguinal companion. This item is well worth the money for the moderate relief it provides. It keeps my intestine neatly contained within the abdominal wall. a great deal of the time It's simple to wrap around your boxers and well-designed. I'm going to order another so that I'm never without a clean one. I only have six days until I can schedule surgery! After a month of waiting in pain, I can't wait to pay my $1500 deductible. Isn't the healthcare system in the United States fantastic?.
Everything is in order. It's both comfortable and effective, and it's well-made. priced. When I first saw the on-line version, I wasn't sure what to expect. photo of a line But, since opening the package and putting this hernia truss on, I've been completely satisfied. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does it very well. Well- constructed, comfortable, and well-designed priced. Since day one, it has kept my hernia in place without causing any discomfort, and I love that it can be worn over my boxers. At a reasonable price, this is an excellent item.
It gets the job done. It has enough flex to allow the pad to be placed precisely where it should be. I've been using it every day for a few weeks, including at the gym and on my four-mile run. br>Comfort? Well, no tight belt is unnoticeable, but I find it worthwhile to wear this all day long with no breaks. It's preferable to having a bothersome bulge protrude from your body. It is unquestionably more comfortable to wear than not to wear it.
The truss works well if you get the right size, limiting the amount of hernia that can pop out. It's worth noting that some reputable websites claim that a truss is more harmful than beneficial. I inquired about this with my primary care physician, who stated that he would wear the truss as long as it did not cause pain. However, this is only a band-aid solution until your hernia can be surgically repaired. Other health issues have forced me to postpone surgery.
There aren't any issues. However, it appears that sizing is only a minor issue. For a 34-year-old woman, I selected medium. The waistband had to be completely tightened on the tightest setting because of my 35" waist. Before securing the waistband, the strap that runs through your crotch and up and across your butt had to be pulled through and wrapped around it. It's almost as if they sent me a small instead of a large. Anyway, I washed it on a warm cycle in the washing machine and dried it on a medium heat setting, and it shrank slightly. This was done three times, and the item now fits perfectly. So if yours is too loose, it's simple to tighten it up. br>The price appears to be a little high for such a basic item (a jockstrap costs $10-$15). 15 in a sporting goods shop). For the second one I'm getting, I'm going with a less expensive brand just to have a clean spare. It is effective in supporting the hernia. br> I've cut back on strenuous exercise and am taking it easy in the gym. I still play hockey, run, hike, ride off-road motorcycles, and so on, but I now ask for assistance lifting truly heavy objects. (until this winter's surgery).
I had an inguinal hernia on one side, which was uncomfortable and painful at times. Because it was not considered an "emergency," there was a several-week wait between the occurrence and surgery. This magical device, which I lived in except for showers and periods when it was drying after washing, was a huge help to me during that period. It was fairly slim, so I was able to wear it under my dress slacks for work without difficulty. So, on the plus side, it worked out well for me. What are the drawbacks? It made me a little uneasy. The front-to-back strap is sturdy (good), but it's a little rough, which irritates the skin in the inguinal fold region (bad). Also, because the item is made of a heavy-duty elastic material that can only be hand washed and cannot be dried, it takes a long time to dry. I usually washed it before going to bed, and it was mostly dry the next morning after a shower, but I live in a very dry climate. However, there were some nights when my hernia was bothering me and I wanted to sleep in the truss, which presented a minor problem. I should have bought two in hindsight, but I didn't know if it would work or how long I'd need to use it at the time. In conclusion, the benefits outweighed the drawbacks in my situation, and I was satisfied with my purchase. I'll definitely be purchasing a couple more of these if the other inguinal side fails in the future.
In comparison to the FlexaMed, my homemade truss was barely adequate. Before it arrived, I was worried that the pad would be too soft or that the size I ordered would be incorrect. The pad, on the other hand, is firm but flexible, and the size is ideal. (Measure around your pelvic area, not your hips or waist. ) I've tweaked it a little for comfort, but that's to be expected. This is a fantastic product, and I'm considering ordering a second one to use when the first gets dirty. I'm not going to use my homemade truss ever again! UPDATE: I did order a second Flexamed truss to use while the first one was being washed and dried. br>br>Update 03/09/21 I bought two of these in July of this year and they've held up fantastically! These trusses have not frayed and only "fuzzed" in a few places despite the fact that I wear them 24 hours a day. The elasticity and shape of the elastic have not been compromised. A fantastic item!.
I didn't want surgery to repair the hernia because it would have forced me to miss five weeks of training. I just wore the groin hernia truss and kept lifting because I didn't want to lose any of my muscle mass. I wore it all the time because I was afraid my hernia would get worse if I didn't. I began to notice less groin pain as I became more cautious while still lifting my normal weight and wearing the groin truss. People, don't believe me when I say this: The doctor did not find a hernia during my recent yearly physical. I can only assume that by constantly wearing the groin truss, the hernia healed on its own. There was never a day when I didn't lift weights.
