I was able to get some of these hernia support belts off of Amazon after discovering the cause of the severe pain in my stomach was a hernia. It was difficult for me to decide what I needed so I ordered a few different styles of hernia support belts. Three months later, I have tried each and every style of support belt. Despite its wide width, the belt covers a large part of your stomach, covering 10" of the area on each side. Apparently, it is quite wide and, as a result, can be a bit uncomfortable when sitting down If you're larger or looking for a lot of support, this belt may be the best option for you. It offers five different Velcro settings on the back to hold the belt tight. I found the belt does not have to be extremely tight to stay in place. As a matter of fact, you may want to avoid wearing a belt as tight as possible. In addition, this belt features a removable compression pad for hernias, which I absolutely adore! Due to the removable compression pad, you can use it with other belts as well, which I have done numerous times. The hernia support belt I used did not provide me with optimum support, however the pain that my hernia was causing was completely reduced after using this one. Since I have not yet had surgery to repair the hernia, I rely on these support belts to keep the agonizing pain at bay. It is a nice support belt, however it runs small compared to other belts. A L/XL size is recommended for waists 40-46" on the size chart in the product photos I am 49 inches tall. The waistline on this item was 42 inches and it was way too small for me. This belt, I know, is supposed to be a little tight to provide support, but it was unable to even close completely. The only thing I wish I could exchange it for was a larger size, but I was recovering from a hermitia and couldn't Due to surgery on my gallbladder, I am unable to return home.

In my first post, I will say that I am 6' 375 pounds. The umbilical hernia I have been experiencing has been around for probably four The size of the hernia has increased a bit over the last month as a result of my blue collar job and my very physical lifestyle. Currently, I am trying to avoid having surgery since I feel that I am not a good candidate for it. The reason I ordered this belt was because I was having problems pulling and I was always wary of how I moved. I was concerned about how I moved and wasting my time worrying about it. There are no words to describe how wonderful this belt is. The Velcro is strong and there is the perfect tension for the perfect fit. No creases or binds are apparent in the thin belt. If desired, the pad can be removed and used to gently press on the hernia. Whether that is present or not, the seat is comfortable. The last night I even wore it to bed and slept like a baby without worrying about the way I moved. The fabric has a natural feel and is breathable. Not an issue if you wear it to the restroom. Despite being sweaty and itchy, this belt does not feel itchy. Setting it up is as easy as setting it and forgetting However, I also wear suspenders at work so it doesn't bother me at all. I love this thing, except it interferes with my pants or shorts. But that's due to my body type and I also wear suspenders at work. I love it. I love the way I feel. It would have been nice to have one sooner.

In my case, a hernia was caused by surgery. It is not major, but it aches when I walk longer than a mile or when I exert myself. Having this Support belt keeps me in good health and it is comfortable and doesn't roll, so I can keep it on. The material does not itch at all despite me being allergic to a variety of other materials. I am not sure how well it will wash, so I will try it tomorrow and if it is satisfactory, I will buy another.

I have an umbilical hernia and its compression pad gives me the support I need. A hernia is effectively contained and does not prolapse.

This belt is more comfortable and provides effective support. With this belt, the pressure point can be moved and the Velcro strips can be sized separately so it fits snugly and stays in place. I find it to be much more comfortable and effective than other similar devices I have used.

I only removed the extra pad because it added too much pressure. I am very happy with this product. Working or sitting in this belt is very comfortable and it works well. I can even feel some support in my back thanks to it.
