The second time I wore it, it began to fall apart. There appeared to be threads that needed to be cut out. I'm not sure how this will affect the item's physical integrity; all I know is that I'm hoping it will last another week until my surgery is over.
My mother had hernia surgery in February, and trying to find a good backup/extra hernia belt was a pain in the buttocks. This one resembles the one she received from the hospital quite closely. It fits perfectly (yes, two people are usually required to put it on). It's a little stiffer at first, but unlike the others she's tried, it doesn't roll down or bunch up on her. She wore it to her last appointment, and the doctor assumed it was the one he had given her, which was a good thing. We wash it in the same machine as other laundry, but hang it to dry. If you need a back-up to the hospital, I would definitely recommend it.
This wrap is ideal for people who have had gastric sleeve surgery. It was a huge help in getting back on my feet.
Because I had a hysterectomy two weeks ago, I have to wear it lower on my stomach, so it doesn't appear in other people's photos. I stand in one photo and sit in the other two. Keep in mind that I did not purchase this product to help me lose weight or slim down my waist. For the compression, I purchased this. When you're sitting, it's easier to get the job done than when you're standing. I'm 5'9", 257 pounds, and I ordered a size 4x. I believe I should have ordered a 3x so that I would have had more pressure. The good news is that there is a silver lining. The velcro isn't being popped open. It's also incredibly cozy. And, once again, this is only the first day. We'll see how effective it is in assisting my recovery.
Velcro that is extremely durable and strong. I, on the other hand, had to return mine because it was so stiff that I couldn't even sit in it. It's also a colossal amount of material.
Right after surgery, it worked wonders in terms of reducing swelling.
My surgeon said it was one of the nicest binders she had ever seen during my follow-up visit.
