Hernia, farewell
5/5

This is absolutely incredible. My baby's hernia, according to doctors, should heal on its own by the time he turns three. I wasn't going to wait any longer, so I used it for a couple of months and it gradually reduced the size until it was completely gone! He is now six months old, and his hernia is no longer present; all that remains is extra skin that has stretched as a result of the hernia.

This is exactly what I was looking for
5/5

Belly Bandbr>br>Pediatrician expected us to wait for the hernia to "fix itself" in the same way that his tongue did. Within the first few years, a tie or torticollis would "correct itself. " Nope! No, I do not believe that is true. I'm a proactive, observant, and occasionally obsessive mother of three. Lol! br>br>Seriously, every time he cried or pooped, his belly button/hernia looked and sounded like it was about to explode. It felt like it was getting worse, which was most likely due to a lack of resistance or restraint to keep the belly button in its proper place. I considered making a soft splint, which worked for a while, but the gauze wrap kept twisting into a rope and rubbing against his soft waistline, and the cottonball wouldn't stay in place on the belly button. Anyway, I found this little cheapie on Amazon that was EXACTLY what I had attempted to make. The ONLY drawback is that the velcro/hook and loop wears out quickly, but I found a simple solution: use a safety pin Yes, just like a pin for your blouse or cloth diapers. This belt will work quickly if you (1) begin using it when your baby is young and likely less mobile (less wiggling), as it will stay in place more easily; and (2) start using it when your baby is older and more mobile (less wiggling). (2) use it as much as you can; (3) Check that the little nodule on the belt is directly above the belly button; (4) Gently press the baby's hernia/belly button in before placing the belt's small nodule over it on a regular basis. (5) The safety pin served as a game-changing element. Changer that outperforms the velcro/hook and loop closure on the belt. Once the safety pin was firmly in place, I rarely took the belt off. The belt should be snug enough to put a little pressure on the belly button, but not so tight that baby can't nurse or move around comfortably. You don't want to do anything to alter the shape of the baby's waistline. This isn't a corset by any stretch of the imagination. Lol! You do, however, want a gentle, soft splint that stays in place OVER the baby's clothing. Check for bruising, irritation, or scratching around the waist and anywhere velcro might rub against bouncing little exposed thighs. The more the baby wears the belt correctly, the faster and more likely the hernia will heal. I believe some people advise purchasing two belts, which I believe is a good idea. My little guy had a few back blowouts or wet diapers that necessitated cleaning the belt (just a gentle hand wash with a little baby soap, warm water, then air dry) and missing valuable therapy time. Last but not least, remember to You can easily wiggle the pinned belt above baby's waist when changing diapers, eliminating the need to unpin and repin each time. After you've finished changing the diaper, gently press in the hernia with your finger, reposition your clothes, and wiggle your belt back into place so that the nodule is directly over the pushed-in hernia. I can see this therapy fixing or at least significantly minimizing any baby's hernia in 2 weeks max if worn frequently and properly. This review is rather lengthy due to our personal trials and errors over the course of about two months, and I truly want to assist parents who are considering or undecided about purchasing this belt.

WORKS! % WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW! Please take a look at the image- It's more than worth a thousand words! My baby is almost three months old and has been wearing it for almost a week
5/5

I gave him a break the first diaper change after the night and put it back on after feeding the meat diaper change (so maybe an hour without it). I am blown away by how well it works! This belt is fantastic, and I highly recommend it!.

GET THIS IMMEDIATELY! If your child has an umbilical hernia, you should get this right away
5/5

My baby's belly button was healing nicely, and it grew quite large one day. When I pressed against it, I could smell gas. The pedestrian stated that it would eventually go down, and that if it did not, they could perform an in-office procedure when my daughter turned two years old. I wasn't going to wait another two years because my family was making snide remarks about my baby's belly button, and I didn't want her to have to deal with it for another two years. Her belly button began to shrink after only a few days of wearing the belly band!! My husband and I were taken aback by the news. The strap is soft, and the width is just right. Her belly button is completely down after a month of wearing the band over her diaper, mostly during the day. Her belly button is still down despite the fact that I haven't used the band in over a month. I strongly advise you to purchase it. I had previously purchased one with a wider strap, but it moved around and didn't work as well as this one.

Unfortunately, the velcro became weak within two weeks, resulting in excellent customer service
3/5

This belly band looked great at first, but the velcro didn't stay in place very well. br>I contacted the seller, and they have fantastic customer service! br>They also have a baby version of the umbilical hernia belly band, which I believe will be much better for us. Just made in a different way. These belts are extremely effective in preventing hernias. Regardless of what the doctor said, his hernia was growing larger and larger, and he appeared to be in a lot of pain. You could hear it gurgle. If I can, I'll upload a photo. br>I was also concerned that it would catch on. In fact, while adjusting him before nursing, I slid him the wrong way by accident, and I believe I hurt him! That was before the bellyband, to be precise. So I'm glad I bought one, even if it only serves to protect it. It has shrunk in size by about a third after two weeks of continuous use. br>This is around the time the velcro became weak. I just received the replacement in the mail, so we'll see how it goes. We are not yet in the after phase, so I only have a before picture. Useful hints: br>br> br>Undo it every time you change a diaper to make sure it isn't pushed at an odd angle. I had no problems, but if something like this happens, it's best not to ignore it. br>I wore the band over his onesie/PJs rather than under them. br>I washed everything by hand, too. needed. Dry on a clothesline. As a result, it's possible that you'll need two. br>To apply it to the hernia, place two fingers flat on the hernia and slowly press down until it is flat. Bring the band's bump onto your fingers and spread them out slowly as you press the band against the hernia. Someone suggested doing an Indiana Jones in the review section of another band's website. That's all there is to it. )br>br>My doctor did say "if it helps, it helps," but she kept saying they go away after a while, and this one just kept getting bigger and bigger, and I'm not sure how you're supposed to heal with such a large thing sticking out! br>br>I was tempted to give three stars, but I wanted to give a high rating because the customer service is outstanding.
