I believe it would, in my opinion. It's big and easy to adjust, and the repositionable disc can go wherever you want. Simply put on the belt and tighten it as needed, then place your hand under it and use the other hand to place the disc over the hernia, and you should be fine. I think this is a fantastic product.
The outside fit is shown to be accurate in the model's photo. A 7 1/2 inch velcro strip runs through the middle of the midline, allowing the wearer to adjust the up-to-dateness of the garment. A 3 inch long, 2 1/2 inch wide little "hill" is pushed down into a midline hernia of that size; it is ovoid and has a maximum height of 1 inch. br>br>If the bowel or liver that protrudes from the hernia is stuck out over the fascia's edge, any compression belt, particularly this one, could cut off circulation to those organs. Keep an eye on the edges of the hernia to make sure nothing escapes. It is also one size fits all, despite the fact that it adjusts a couple of inches up and down. Finally, with the "hill" protruding into a midline or midline hernia repair, I wouldn't wear this. I recently had mine repaired and use it, along with other belts, to keep my back flat.
Because the splints prevent the belt from being bent or curled, performing ab exercises with it may be difficult.
Wearing this belt while swimming is not recommended because the water can damage and ruin the fabric.

My pain level has decreased dramatically since using this hernia belt. I'm a big guy, 6 ft 3 in, 303 lbs, with a big gut, and wearing this belt causes me almost no pain. My stomach is approximately 54-inches in circumference. I simply measured my belly button and ordered according to the chart, and I wear this brace for 8 hours at a time. This brace has vertical brace bars to support the back and gut, and it's quite comfortable. As long as you're not sitting for long periods of time, they're fine. When you sit down, they tend to dig in a little because they're Ridgid, but with a minor adjustment, it's not a problem. The benefits far outnumber the drawbacks. As a side note, it also has a slimming effect, which is why I deducted one star for comfort. But don't worry, guys, because it looks like an industrial back brace, you won't be accused of wearing Spanx. I recommend that anyone suffering from a hernia, even if it is on the minor side, try this belt. What could possibly go wrong? It is your responsibility to return it. I have a double hernia that was getting a lot worse until I started wearing this belt, and it actually pushed it back in. My belly button has also re-emerged. Without it, I won't be able to do any work. When I get home, I take it off and go about my business as usual. However, as soon as I go to work or attempt to do any housework, I immediately put this belt on. It appears to work for me, and it costs around $30. It's well worth the money in my opinion. I hope that this review is useful to anyone thinking about purchasing this belt. PS. I forgot to mention that there's a velcro-attached insert on the inside of the belt that helps push back in your navel or on the hernia. In the beginning, I found it to be extremely useful. I no longer wear it because it bothers me after a long period of time, but everyone is different. If you need it, it's a convenient feature to have. And I did use it a lot at first.
I am the sole proprietor of my small business, and I do not have health insurance, nor do I have the time or money to rest after an operation. All I can say is that it has made me feel as if I might be able to see my grandchildren grow up sooner rather than later. Over a stupid hurnea, the most common surgery performed each year, I cause myself to turn my toes up. If you are able to obtain the surgery, I believe it will be a valuable resource for you both during and after the procedure. OUTSTANDING WORKSHOP PRODUCT!.
Now is the time to order! I love this support belt because I've had several abdominal surgeries where my muscles have been cut and I've been left with no support. and the surgeon's belts had to be modified to fit a larger person during the follow-up, which added to the complexity when all I needed was simplicity. It was given to me by this belt. I now have three hernias to deal with for the time being. Because my health prevents me from having another surgery at this time, this belt has proven to be extremely beneficial. If you're a woman, it will creep up to your chest area and resemble a Boustier, but I will hike it back down. When this one wears out, I'll place an order for another. Thank you very much.
My hernia has been bothering me for a little over a year, and I've tried several hernia belts to alleviate the pain. Compression is used to push in and hold the hernia in place, which is how most of these belts work. This belt has been a lifesaver in terms of relieving my hernia pain. It's made of a lightweight, breathable fabric with a velcro closure in the front, making it simple to put on without assistance. Furthermore, unlike my other hernia belts, this one does not curl up after a full day of use. So far, this belt has been great; it's light, easy to put on, and includes an extra compression pad that slides in under the belt and helps to push the hernia back in and keep it in place. I have to wear these hernia compression belts until I can get surgery to repair my hernia. This is without a doubt the best belt I've ever owned. I wish everyone who suffers from a hernia the best of luck, and I hope that this belt will help to alleviate your discomfort. Tom F. lives in Chicago, Illinois.
The other items were hot, itchy, and inconvenient to use. br>After 48 hours of use, I'm not itchy or hot, and I'm not getting rid of anything! This is something I use 24 hours a day, seven days a week. br>Excellent product!.
I have a hiatal hernia, which is an organ that sits on top of my stomach in the shape of a ball. It not only causes excruciating pain throughout my abdomen, but it also makes my insides feel disorganized and painful. I don't help matters by smoking a lot of w33d. It simply makes everything bearable. This $30 belt has not only saved me hundreds of dollars on herb, but it has also made me feel a lot better. Even short day days are excruciating for me because I work long hours. Thankfully, that's no longer an issue, and the added benefit is that it lifts my chest, making me appear more curvy on the outside and inside, rather than feeling like a potato. Return it if you change your mind. You will, however, fall in love. Especially if you have oain that can only be treated with ER fluids. This item is a lifesaver, and I'm grateful to have found it. I never review the items because others do a fantastic job of doing so, but my experience is one-of-a-kind. I'm waiting for surgery, and I'm much happier and less depressed about my nausea and stomach pain as a result of it. I appreciate your taking the time to read this.
I received excellent assistance, which was exactly what I required. With it on, it's a little warm, but I'll get used to it. It seems to fit better with a tee underneath and then whatever shirt you normally wear over it. I might not need to wear a tshirt underneath it once I get used to it. Last night, I wore it to bed and it didn't bother me in the least, and I awoke feeling great.
