There's no specific definition of height I can think of. There is an approximately 1/4-inch thickness to the material. In my experience, it makes kayaking a much more comfortable activity
Those who prefer a low back seat of the Yakpads will do well with it.
In any kayak that has a seat back, it should work just fine.

I found this width to be perfect for the size With the YakPads included in the package, slip the cord behind the Sun Dolphin back rest pad and buckle it in place. Used it for three years with a Bali, and it has held up well. As well as staying in place, it holds well.
My lower back feels good on this product! There is just enough padding so that my "sit" bones get a break, but not so much that I Two problems I've encountered when I've tried thicker pads in my kayak are On this pad, I last a lot longer than I would on a regular chair! So I don't have to carry it to the wooden rocking chair, I might get another one. Only thing I would change is the label (possibly on the bottom where no one would be able to see it) as there is not enough space to put it. Keep in mind that it is not an especially wide rear so it might not fit those with wide The bumper I have is custom fitted to me, as I am over 6' tall, but I have the smaller size typical of Native guys.
A belt is worn over the stomach and can be adjusted higher or lower, depending on the area that needs support. I felt fine after three hours If you wear this while kayaking, you will be able to paddle for an hour. In the past, I would have had pain in my back after a three-day run Just wish I had brought it to the concert two nights ago, when I sat in one of those unfolding chairs you use when you take clothes out of the wardrobe!.
I'm not sure why this pad gets such high reviews. There is almost no back support when the pressure is applied, as the mattress almost flattens out when pressure is applied. Since I am 72 years old and 155 pounds, I am not putting a lot of pressure on myself. Since I use a pedal kayak, I need adequate lumbar support, not the pillow type support that I use with my feather pillow. I would not recommend this product to others as I tested and evaluated it thoroughly.
Overall, this is a great product, from the materials, fit, It would have been nice to have a little thicker cushion (always a but). My intent for this additional support is to add support for in-line paddling at over the long hall that the seat and seat pan do not provide. I do hope that it can meet my needs. As time passes and use ensues, we'll be able to see.
During a kayak fishing excursion on calm water, you will fish for two hours. I think it made a little difference, at the very least. This device is made really well, and I'm sure it will last a long time. However, I'm really sore in my butt. Then, I would probably use 2 or 3 of them on top of each other to achieve the desired effect. Yet I'm not willing to drop the extra cash for these at this price and with this quality.
I cannot adequately emphasize how great it is. My family and I are thrilled with this kayak seat pad. I cannot say enough positive things about it. One for myself and one for my wife. There's no reason why she shouldn't like it too. The seats of our sit-on-top kayaks are simply molded in to the kayak. Now that I have this pad, I can paddle for three hours without getting tired. It was great to recommend one to my brother as well, who cannot say enough about this gel seat pad. Aside from that, it is made out of a good material. In the event that it becomes wet, it will not harm it and will dry You don't slide around under the rubber gripping bottom because it stays in place. It is great to have this product again!.
The Casco138 with padded seat was given to him. The week before I took this trip, I ordered this Yakpads gel seat thing which I would place on top of my older Loon138. 6 hours on the river and I was sold that my 40 bucks did not go to waste. The seat was attached to the kayak by drilling holes in the plastic and screwing three screws through the loops on the seat to hold it in place. It had never felt so comfortable in a In the past, I tried sitting on a thick towel, but I always ended up soaking wet, hard, and useless. So the following week, I used this 'over' the cushion of the seat in that boat - it worked amazingly well! As a result, it stayed in place without the mounting screws just fine and improved the seating experience in that boat as well. Whenever you have any type of seat that becomes uncomfortable or hard after some time This is a good option for you. Additionally, I think it kept me cooler/drier, perhaps because it raised me a bit to allow the air to circulate and prevent me from sitting in wet clothing. * * Edit A similar looking pad caught my eye at Academy, but as soon as I picked it up I sensed something was off. charging the same price/brand name [plus tax] for an inferior version filled with foam. This GEL pad will make your life easier. I have another seat made of foam, but it doesn't do anything for me Particularly after being wet, sweaty, or hot for a few hours.
