I'm not sure why this pad gets such high reviews. There is almost no back support when the pressure is applied, as the mattress almost flattens out when pressure is applied. Since I am 72 years old and 155 pounds, I am not putting a lot of pressure on myself. Since I use a pedal kayak, I need adequate lumbar support, not the pillow type support that I use with my feather pillow. I would not recommend this product to others as I tested and evaluated it thoroughly.

Overall, this is a great product, from the materials, fit, It would have been nice to have a little thicker cushion (always a but). My intent for this additional support is to add support for in-line paddling at over the long hall that the seat and seat pan do not provide. I do hope that it can meet my needs. As time passes and use ensues, we'll be able to see.

During a kayak fishing excursion on calm water, you will fish for two hours. I think it made a little difference, at the very least. This device is made really well, and I'm sure it will last a long time. However, I'm really sore in my butt. Then, I would probably use 2 or 3 of them on top of each other to achieve the desired effect. Yet I'm not willing to drop the extra cash for these at this price and with this quality.

I cannot adequately emphasize how great it is. My family and I are thrilled with this kayak seat pad. I cannot say enough positive things about it. One for myself and one for my wife. There's no reason why she shouldn't like it too. The seats of our sit-on-top kayaks are simply molded in to the kayak. Now that I have this pad, I can paddle for three hours without getting tired. It was great to recommend one to my brother as well, who cannot say enough about this gel seat pad. Aside from that, it is made out of a good material. In the event that it becomes wet, it will not harm it and will dry You don't slide around under the rubber gripping bottom because it stays in place. It is great to have this product again!.

The seat was attached to the kayak by drilling holes in the plastic and screwing three screws through the loops on the seat to hold it in place. It had never felt so comfortable in a In the past, I tried sitting on a thick towel, but I always ended up soaking wet, hard, and useless. So the following week, I used this 'over' the cushion of the seat in that boat - it worked amazingly well!
