When I stand for more than two hours, I get in pain. A Lumbar Support Belt does the same for my activity tolerance as a waist belt. These copper ones have been with me for three years After 6 months, the belts with stretch infused lose their shape due to daily use. While I used stronger belts, they toppled over after a few months My waist is now 47" (as a result of my weight loss). The army also used belts with stays encased in pouches made from hard plastic. There are uncomfortable feelings associated with these. As an alternative to flimsy belts, the Sparthos back brace provides the best compromise it is much more supportive than the Stay belts made from plastic are more comfortable than those made from rubber. This is a very generous collection of sizes. wear a Medium belt. The Large belt is meant for people with waists bigger than 50 inches. There is a secondary "overlying strap" (see the image) that can be cinched down for greater support when standing/walking, but loosens when used as a shoulder strap. A lot of pain rules his life. He has slipped discs, sciatica, cortisone shots, surgeries, pills, arthritis, and, of course, There is no denying the fact that his line of work (remodeling) has taken a huge toll on him. In the past, he always wore back braces, and he would come home hunched over in pain for many days at a time. After wearing this brace for 3 days now, I was amazed at how much different he is from before. Even after a full day working close to 10 hours, it is amazing how much better he feels now It seems like he is doing pretty well. In fact, he said it has affected his mood, since he is no longer in pain while he is working. There's no sign that his problems have been solved.
