I purchased three of these, two of which required calibration. Calibration is a simple process that involves using salt and turning the needle with a small screwdriver or knife inserted through the back hole. They all work in a very consistent and accurate manner after they have been calibrated.
I make custom humidors for people, and I've never had any issues with them. It's possible that they'll need some minor adjustments, but that's to be expected; most of the time, they won't.
The needle on the hydrometer was missing, making it impossible to determine the amount of humidity or how dry the humidor is. I returned it in exchange for a new one, which I hope works out.
With a calibration screw on the back, it's very accurate. I bought it to replace a cheap, non-adjustable hygrometer that came with a pricey electric humidor. It was so good that I ordered a second one just in case I needed one.
This is a good, solid piece. Adjustment is simple.
It worked well and was a perfect fit.
