According to Boveda's FAQ page, "While our packs are accurate within /- in an airtight environment," Our calibration formula is even more accurate, within /- 1% 5% and is our recommended calibration formula.
If you can fit your device into the small enclosed pouch, it should work.
There is only one, but it can be used multiple times; I believe it is accurate for 6 months after it is opened. I'm not sure about this one, but the boveda 72% calibration kits are identical to the salt test so there is no point in buying.
Yes, as long as it's a sturdy bag like the one they give you. Use a high-quality ziplock bag instead of a low-cost one. A good freezer bag is what I'd use.

br>br>"Calibrate hygrometer" is a search term on Google. Damp salt maintains a bag s humidity at 70%.
They are practical, and they are backed by a company. br>br>This last point is crucial because, despite Boveda's claims of /- accuracy, 5%, as another reviewer mentioned, I have ordered 4 of these kits and one was definitively faulty. It implied that my hygrometers were ten times higher than normal. 12% higher than their historical 4- higher than their historical 4- higher than their historic 6% high. I requested and received a replacement kit from Boveda at no cost, and the replacement kit recommended the lower historical calibration. br>br>If you have unusually off results while using the kit (and I recommend waiting at least 36 hours), I recommend requesting another kit from Boveda so you can confirm.
That information should have been included in the package's instructions. br>Check to see if your hygrometer fits in the bag! Mine didn't work out. Anything bigger than 3" x 2" will almost certainly not fit in the bag. I didn't see anything about it, and there wasn't even a bigger bag to choose from. I have another hygrometer that will fit, so I may be able to use it as a calibration reference for the ones that don't. Sadly, many of the hygrometers available on Amazon are too large to fit in the bag.
It's been 36 hours, and it's time to see what's going on At least one side of the bag should be visible. br>br>There's also something the Boveda company left out of the last procedure of the calibration instructions.
The reason why the Boveda bag is clear on the back side of which is when the RH% reading of the weather station is completed, inside the bag before it is I found out later that I had done it incorrectly the first time and that the bag I had used was not see-through. br>br>Based on the other customer reviews, I am aware that I am not the only one who has complained about the bag being too small for their weather stations; this should be addressed to the Boveda company as soon as possible, or they will lose a lot of business! br>br>Overall, even with the larger airtight bag, I'm not sure if the Boveda Hygrometer kit is accurate because my new digital weather station's hydrometer stopped working completely after the calibration.
So I will calibrate the Boveda 32% Hydrometer Calibration kit once more when I receive the same replacement model weather station that I only purchased on I'll give another customer review from the new replacement weather station of the same model that I had previously to test the RH%% accuracy. " It really works. I discovered that both of our AcuRite 00613 Indoor Humidity Monitors were reading 4 to 6 percentage points above their tolerance spec, which is completely unacceptable. One piece of advice: the longer the hydrometer is left in the bag, the better. Between 24 and 30 hours in the bag, I discovered that both of our hydrometers had dropped at least a point. As a result, I'd leave it in the bag for at least 30 to 36 hours. If you don't have a hydrometer, get one and put it to the test. You won't be sorry if you do.
It is closer to 41%RH than 32% RH. I used six hygrometers from various manufacturers to test this product. It is closer to 41%RH than 32% RH than 41%RH than 41%RH than 41%RH than 41%RH than The 75% product was close enough for accurate calibrations but it might be better to just buy some lab grade magnesium chloride and sodium chloride salts for accurate calibrations just.
RH cal kit Fast ship 32% Fast ship Fast ship Fas Acurite 1080m fits in a bag that is just big enough. To get the lower 32% rh base point, I needed to reduce the value by about 7%. One star deducted because the bag could have been a bit bigger. The fit is a little tight. Furthermore, because the bag is labeled on one side, you must adjust the bag by feel while inside it. br>br>Perfect lower range, which is required for hydrometer calibration when using a dry cabinet to store photographic equipment. Thanks.
It did the job, but I'm not sure I want to pay this much for calibration every time one of my three humidors needs to be calibrated. It is entirely up to you to make this decision. Does the job, but the cost of using them on a regular basis can be prohibitive.
