Yes, they're calibrated, but we always recommend using a Boveda calibration kit to make sure they're accurate. The hygrometer should not be subjected to the standard salt water test because it will void your warranty and may cause damage to the electronics.
Why would more pictures help when a front mount hygrometer can replace an analog hygrometer of similar size in many humidors? You simply replace one hygrometer with another, and instructions are included with the unit.
Yes, it'll work. It's designed to fit a 2" diameter hole. It's 2" in diameter below the face, according to my measurements.
It should, because it's designed to replace front-mounted analog hygrometers. Dimensions (Outside): Dia. : 1 7/8" x 1/2"TH

I ordered this hygrometer as well as another to test out. I also purchased a calibration pouch in order to ensure that the accuracy was correct. This unit measured exactly 75% as the calibration unit suggests. There was no need for any kind of calibration.
Another unit I purchased from a different company was 5% off. I calibrated the unit, but it still wasn't accurate. I returned the previous unit and purchased this one.
This is ideal for cigar boxes. A cigar box of this size is standard. Any application with humidity over 80% I would recommend something designed for exterior use (can withstand: wind, sun, rain exposure) These don't fare well in humid environments. Fill a soda bottle cap with salt and a few drops of water at a time until "slushy" thick, then place it in a small ziplock bag (closed with a bit of air) with the hygrometer to calibrate it. In 1- Check the meter every 2 hours for 2 hours. It should read If not: use the knob to adjust it a few clicks up or down depending on the difference and check it again in 15 minutes until 75% Example: It says 79%, turn the knob to the left 3-. 4 clicks, then wait 15 minutes and check again. (Tip: It's easier to lift the meter off the bag by stacking a few pennies and taping them together. This exposes the "sensor vents" for a more accurate reading.
Cheaper and more accurate than the Caliber IV.
My 2" analog hygrometer is now obsolete; It was perfect for the hole. It would be nice if the back of the LCD screen was a little more reflective (it's a little difficult to read).
This is much more appealing to me than my old analog hygrometer. It fits perfectly in my humidor and appears to be accurate and dependable. The text is simple to follow.
This was a disaster, and it had nothing to do with the seller. I bought two from a reputable cigar shop, and one of them was accidentally destroyed when I spilled water on it, so this one was replaced. The two hygrometers that had survived were in a bad way. I calibrated them (using the salt method) over the course of two weeks, but they remained unreliable. The RH would sometimes go up, sometimes go down when the adjustment knob was turned in one direction (indicating that the rheostat used in these is faulty). And the RH would be spot on at times, but off by as much as 5-percentage points at other times (up or down). 10% at other points of the day of the day I tossed them all and replaced them with a different brand that doesn't fit in the front holes of my humidors. Again, the seller was excellent; it's just the hygrometers, which seem to be defective no matter where they're purchased.
Out of the, it didn't work. It's a waste of time. I couldn't get it to work right away. I returned it to you.
I took a salt test and found that it was 2 points below the humidity level. It was simple to calibrate, and it has remained precise since then. It's been about a month since I got it. It is extremely sensitive, and the humidity measurement begins to change within a minute of being removed from my humidor. br>I will purchase this product again.
