A screwdriver can be stored in the center of the back side. You're bending a piece of metal inside the hygrometer when you adjust the needle. As a result, you'll need to twist past where you want to set the needle at first so that it returns to its original position.

Selected User Reviews For CiGuru CH001 Adjustable Cigar Analog Hygrometer 2'' - 1 unit
I'm using it to monitor humidity levels in locations where I keep my photography gear. br>Because there were no instructions, I had to figure it out on my own: br>The user should keep in mind that this is an analog device, and the measurement takes several minutes to display. br>Place the hygrometer in such a way that the hole at the bottom is not obstructed. Because the device was laying flat on the surface, the first few measurements I took were confusing. br>You might be able to remove the rubber band that covers the perimeter holes as well, but I'm not sure. br>To calibrate the hygrometer, take about a teaspoon of salt, wet it with a few drops of water (no liquid water, just wet salt), then seal the salt and the hygrometer together in a Ziploc bag. br>A hygrometer can be placed on a few matches to keep the hole clear. br>Inside the Ziploc, air should be able to circulate. br>Leave it for 30 minutes. The hygrometer should show 75% humidity at all times of the day of the day of It was well calibrated in the one I got. br>If it isn't exactly 75, you can keep track of the difference and use it to offset future measurements, or you can adjust it with a screwdriver.
Before you buy more, buy one and test it thoroughly. Please accept my sincere apologies for my erroneous adoration!.
To begin with, no instructions are included. They don't tell you to take off the plastic band around the brass case; you'll have to figure it out on your own. When I emailed them for instructions on how to adjust the calibration if it was off, their response was, "Buy one of these One-Handed One-Handed One-Handed One-Handed One-Handed One-Handed One-H There was no mention of a "Step Hygrometer Calibration Kit" or a link to it. After doing some research, I discovered that it's just a plastic baggie and salt humidifier, as described in one of the other reviews. It's said to take around 24 hours. The measurement period is 48 hours, but no instructions are provided on how to adjust the hygrometer if it is off. EDIT: br>br> I'm still waiting for a response. I did make my own plastic baggy setup and discovered that the hygrometer was around 80 degrees. I accidentally pushed off the back magnetic plate while trying to figure out how to set it to 75 and discovered a hole with a slot in the back. It's there that the changes are made. If they had just given us those instructions, it would have been so much easier. I'm very nearsighted. br>br>It's likely that the people who said it wouldn't work at all never took off the plastic band.
I bought a hygrometer and performed a salt test. hygrometer was off in 2010 % in 2010 in 2010 in 2010 in 2010 in 2010% There is no way to adjust the needle. I had to open it up and adjust the dial, but after two weeks, I passed out. I would avoid this one in favor of a more adjustable and reliable hygrometer, such as the caliber IV.
I wanted something a little more accurate, and these hydrometers had different readings from one another, like 20% difference between some of them. I guess it's supposed to give you an idea of how humid it is?.
This is the one I bought, and it's fantastic. I first checked the calibration with wet salt and a sandwich bag, and it was perfect. It can be adjusted, but I didn't find it necessary. In my massive humidor, I'm hoping for years of service from this. Cigars, not cigarettes, are the way to go.
Yes, in my opinion, it's a great deal.
It is a good deal. It works perfectly, and the fact that it can be adjusted is a big plus. It was calibrated, as well as a digital one, and both worked perfectly in the humidors.
