This product would be a good fit for me. My intention was to use it on the new bamboo bookshelf I had just purchased, but I plan on using it on an old bamboo chest I have had for There is a belief that mineral oil is the best This soap is both smooth and odorless, and seems to have gone well on my bookcase, since it did not leave a greasy residue behind.
It's my fault. Currently no black spots on the leaf, but the conditions and the protection are good

This is the food grade oil that I use on my wood cutting boards, wooden bowls, and everything else I use wood for My butcher block kitchen table is a good place to sit. A nice price point, won't harden or go rancid, and won't harden or go rancid Deliveries are convenient, because you don't have to go to the store. This is how you do it Using a mild detergent, such as Seventh Generation, wash your items. Please do not submerge wooden bases in water. This can cause them to swell & crack Cracks are caused by stress. If hand washing is done, towel off with a clean, lint-free cloth before wearing Leaving it out overnight will ensure that it completely dries. Wood that is damp in any way will not allow the oil to penetrate, so let them dry! After the item has reached a completely dry stage, rub generous amounts of oil into the item & Rub the item, then buff it with another clean, lint-free towel to remove any As a result, your wooden piece[s] will have a rich, dark shine. So no matter if you use them as serving trays or as decoration, this oil is the best to preserve them. In addition to food grade mineral oil, you can also purchase it from most grocery stores or pharmacies.
In a nutshell, It is from the seller Our Pampered Home that I purchased the Bayes Mineral Oil. This product is vital for the treatment of your wood cutting boards, as you can see in the video. When you compare the new cutting board that is getting the treatment to an untreated one, you want to do everything within your power to help keep it in great shape. There is only one product like this. In fact, this product came highly recommended on other websites and that was the key reason I chose this particular brand. It is a food-safe oil in a clear color. Unlike olive oil or vegetable oil, this product will not breakdown and rot over time. If you have bamboo or other wood cutting boards, this product will help extend their life. Using the product could not be easier, just drip it on, spread it around, and wipe off any extra. Drying for 24 hours was all the product needed in order to be usable/washable.
Several months ago, I bought two wooden kitchen utensils from that site because they looked so pretty, and after checking their website, I found that they recommend conditioning them with mineral oil. The advertised brand contained other additives, such as carnuba wax, but the price was three times more. I decided to try the plain, food grade mineral oil instead. My new utensils are wiped down, and then I decided to wipe down my existing utensils and cutting boards as well. Items already in my possession soaked up the oil and began to scream My hands were always dry and cracked, but I never noticed how bad they were getting. After discarding four of the five wood utensils I had, I have 5 new wooden ones. Having oiled these items daily as suggested during the previous week, I have now switched to a weekly regime for the next month. Once I complete that treatment, I will only need to apply oil once a month I have also read that food grade oils are perfectly safe for skin use as well, so I have been rubbing the residue into my hands instead of making a big deal about washing them afterwards. It softens my skin exceptionally well and even reduces the appearance of crepy skin for many hours afterwards. Because my skin is so dry here in the Arizona southwest, I've always been using something to moisturize it. As a result, I have found mineral oil is a common ingredient in a number of skin care.
Having laxed in doing the required maintenance, it was time to sand some cutting boards that were in need of some remedial attention. Also, I had a set of wood spatulas that were really good, but one of them was just too big so I cut it down to a manageable size and sealed it with this product. Now you can't tell anything about The bottle is only 8oz, but I hardly made any dent in the contents even with the spatula and two large cutting boards (one of them is a pull-out under the counter). Only time will tell how long it lasts before I need to add more, but it's only been a few months and it still looks good.
Chacun of these cutting boards is provided free of charge with oil. There is a cutting board made of mixed hardwoods and a couple of cutting boards made of bamboo in my kitchen. Since I bought either of them, I had not oiled them since, and there was an easy absorption of the oil Both surfaces were left with a richer appearance after the excess was wiped away. The product cleaned up very well, and its light viscosity did not leave any residue behind. Following that, both types of cutting boards were greaseless to the touch, but also appeared to be in much better health. It is important to follow the instructions on the bottle when applying (every day for the first week, once a week or so, then about once a month after that). There was a little circle seal underneath the cap on the bottle, and it came with a simple sealed plastic bag. To be fair, I did not detect the leakage that has been reported in other reviews.
Apply it several times before you use the bamboo cutting board. contains all the ingredients that the product claims to contain, but you must be patient while it sets to get the best results. ** In addition to application to both sides, you should extend the Bamboo Protectant around the board's edges as well.
I have no idea whether it's good or bad oil. I used a pop top cap that had a small hole and the lid was very loose on the bottle (not screwed down tightly). Plus, there was no 'seal' at the top of the jar, so I had oil all over! Only positive thing about the package is that the bulk of the mess was contained in a plastic bag. Mineral oil is usually cheaper than peanut oil, but when you receive half of a jar, it ends up being more expensive. The packaging needs to be changed!.
You need to be patient to get the most from Bayes Bamboo Protectant, but it does exactly what it promises. Depending on how long it takes for the oil to absorb into the bamboo, allow several hours in between applications. It's a good idea to apply Bamboo Protectant to both sides of the board as well as all around the edges. It is well worth the money and the time spent in preparing the board for use to use Bayes Bamboo Protectant, because it produces excellent results.
