Product Description

Oil is available in two forms – thick and cheaply refined or thin and highly refined. Our mineral oil is highly refined and thin so that it absorbs deeper into wood fibers to increase its potential to protect cutting boards.
As we blend premium mineral oil with lemon and orange essential oils, besides giving the oil a wonderful fresh scent, the citric acidity in the oil opens the pores of the wood fibers even more, allowing maximum absorption for optimal protection and beauty.

Allow the board to soak in mineral oil overnight, and then apply a generous amount to the whole surface. By doing so, the board will be much more moisture resistant, while at the same time keeping the wood lubricated to prevent it from drying out.

Questions & Answers

Mineral oil is a petroleum byproduct, isn't it?

Yes, I'm not sure how it could be considered safe or non-toxic, but it's up to the individual.

Can you tell me what the ingredients are?

A mineral oil with orange and cloves An extract of lemon. The mineral oil and essential oils are absolutely natural with no additives or preservatives, and the FDA has approved the safe use of mineral oil as food.

Do you know if this product contains any nut oils?

No, this product does not contain nut oils.

Then it can be put in the dishwasher, right? If it is to be used often, how often should it be used?

While our high-grade oil does a lot of things, it is not made to be dishwasher safe since it cannot be hardened. Having said that, we have put our cheap bamboo cutting boards through the dishwasher occasionally, and our bamboo boards seem to do just fine. More expensive bamboo cutting boards would likely do even better as they may have more expensive glue to hold In answer to your question, we normally suggest that you rinse off your cutting board in the sink, using as much soap as you wish, and then reapply the oil when the wood is no longer looking as richly oiled. be sure not to let your boards get too dry. Water and dish soap can be easily removed from steel with a consistent treatment of our penetrating oil.

Here are a few good items
5/5

I used a piece of gauze and a bottle of FDA mineral oil to perform the same task that a lot of people do with mineral oil on their cutting boards, etc. I always found it hard to do because it was so messy. My hands and counter were smeared with oil, and the bottle of oil went down the drain as well. It doesn't work like that anymore. My favorite part of this is the sponge on the end of the shoe polish bottle. This reminds me of old times when people used to wipe shoe polish on their The same is true for cutting boards, etc. There's no mess the way there used to be. The product is easy to use and to clean. How long are these mineral oils effective compared to the others I have used before? The lack of a mess is well worth all the money we spend on it. It has become a habit for me to oil my cutting boards regularly. The oil does not take a lot to coat a board. Would repurchase when the container runs out.

It was simple to use, and worked well to condition cutting boards and accessories
5/5

I was pleased to see that it was shipped in a bubble envelope but the bottle was enclosed tightly in a plastic bag with an airtight seal to prevent Since the lid twists on, there was no chance of it leaking because the seal is perfect for holding it tight. One of the spoons was treated by my 10 year old son, and the cutting board was treated by me. It's nice that the applicator has a foam tip. You squeeze it to release the oil after you push down and it moves about 1/4 inch. No oil comes out when you lift it up to blend it in until you push it down again and squeeze to squeeze the rest out. The process was easy, no mess, and the mineral oil soaked into the wood smoothly. The scent is light and pleasant. My purchase was exactly what I was looking for. This was a great buy! It was a great price as well! It is A+++++.

It is easy to use and If you want your cutting board to resist cracking and staining, you need to keep it well oiled
5/5

Moreover, who remembers where they keep the mineral oil, and now you should find a rag to apply it with. We no longer use them. A small bottle like this fits right in my spice cabinet, so it is easily accessible. It only takes a couple of swipes with this bottle to clean the board. After I wash and dry it, I'm ready to go. This is really cool.

A simple and straightforward user interface
5/5

I used it on both a brand new, untreated cuttingboard as well as an old, well used favorite. Both were successfully treated. As soon as possible, the new one will go into service. There is already one in the old one. Looks like it has never been used. It's nice to be able to use the simple applicator to apply product directly from the bottle. This applicator is equipped with a lid that screws back on to keep it There is enough oil to coat several cutting boards, bowls, and even utensils in this bottle.

There are obvious signs of use on this bottle, as it appears unsealed
3/5

A Ziploc bag that was not tightly sealed held the bottle, which was unsealed. There is little oil left in the bottle after all the oil was spilled on the inside of the box. As it appears, this is a used product, not a new one! We don't get a scent and I would be worried about using The bamboo oil may be some other kind of oil, not really bamboo.

My wooden utensils are made to last with this product
3/5

The bottle leaked heavily when it was opened, so I would have given it five stars. The shipping company put this in a ziplock bag, and thank goodness for that. A neat "applicator" was included with this bottle as it has no writing on it at all. No scent was found in this oil, so I chose not to mark it. Is that how it was Although this applicator does not have a refill mechanism, it is a good idea and works well. What was the significance of the absence of markings on the bottle shown in the picture? I have no idea what that means.

Packaging is great
4/5

This is a great example of how this can be The room was clean and tidy. Everything was delivered on time. This was the first time I had received the Lemon/Sage scent. I did not notice any dripping or mess with it after it dried. It is a great product that anyone wanting to take care of their cutting board should get.

You can now do what used to be a tedious job in a couple of minutes! I like how it goes on easily and doesn't discolor my wood or darken it
5/5

It has a slight citrus scent and goes on easily. Despite that, what sets it apart is that it has an applicator similar to shoe polish and a bottle that looks similar to a shoe. It should be mandatory for ALL seasoning oils to be sold in this manner! There is absolutely no mess at all - Free of charge. When salting large items, you'll end up with a lot of oil on your clothes, furniture, countertop, and floor, especially if the item you're salting is too large for your sink. Be sure to apply oils evenly to avoid any smearing. My task at the moment is to season raw meat that is very long As for the rolling pins, I figured I would have to lay out newspaper on the carport and do it there, as they will need to be applied multiple times over several days. It wasn't something I was looking forward to. A few days later, I saw this oil and thought it was worth a try. It hasn't made a mess, and I haven't washed any hands afterward! I'm doing it in a corner of my kitchen and so far it hasn't made a mess! Too much oil won't be an issue, as long as it is spread The benefit is not wasting a drop of liquid, so it's also a good value for the money. The sellers have provided a practical, quality product that should have been an industry standard for years! I am very happy with this purchase and would like to thank them for offering it!.
