It might be a good idea to keep yourself away from other smokers for a while. For the time being, I have also stopped drinking. The first time I quit was over 2 weeks ago. But then I wanted to go out with friends and stayed with people who were smoking. You can always stick with the patch if you slip up or smoke more. is a little itchy for the first five minutes This lasts about ten minutes before subsiding. It's just a matter of finding a place that works for Good luck! Try not to let your heart be broken.

It has been nearly a year since I last smoked

Over the next three weeks, I used the patch to get over the big hurdles, and then went cold turkey. It was very helpful to get me to quit using patches. The only complaint I have is the following I had extremely itchy skin after using this product.

It's almost time for patches to expire

There is still some life left in these but they are close to expiring. The ones I bought from this vendor expire in 4 months in 2020, whereas my own expire in 2022. However, I wouldn't suggest you buy these if you are planning to quit in a "few months"

The patches themselves do work well. My best luck has been with the patch when it comes to quitting.
