I had to switch to this brand from Walmart's patches when I developed an allergy to the adhesive they used, although the adhesive in these patches appears to be different from that in Walmart's This actually works a bit better (there has been a noticeable decrease in my cravings), but these patches do not stay on. My clothing did not stay on my arm well yesterday because it was 90 degrees outside. I had to wrap masking tape around my arm in order to secure it. Furthermore, I am very disappointed in how much these cost, as I think the markup is excessive. I think the price of these patches should come down a lot if people are pushing hard to stop smoking. The usual price for 14 patches is around $40 both on Amazon and at my local Walmart, which is insane, and more than I spent when I was smoking. Tips to keep in mind You should wear these patches several inches away from your joints, preferably on your thighs or upper arms. Rotate where you put them to help reduce the skin irritation that is very common with this product. Do not wear these patches when exercising -they may irritate your skin. As you open up your pores, you will receive more nicotine and you will most likely experience on before you begin exercising and take it off after you're done.
As I had never taken the drug before, I started out with 14mg. I am very happy with this patch. As a smoker who doesn't smoke heavily, I started on 14mg. The last time I smoked a cigarette was two weeks ago.
Maybe I should switch brands.
The following steps were performed with NicoDerm CQ 1 - 2 I was not disappointed once again.
It was difficult to keep patches on, but they worked just fine. After cleaning the area with alcohol before applying the glue, the corners kept peeling away. I had to use adhesive tape to keep them in place. In the end, we switched to a different brand that stuck.
