Questions & Answers

What is the name of Phillips Respironics on the end of the hose? It is a "may be used with the dream station product" and not a Phillips product?

Philips Respironics is the brand name and 15 is the tube size on the hose ends. It is lightweight and flexible, and it is very easy to use. Two was the number on my scale. For a light of this quality and flexibility, it weighs only 7 ounces. The tube is compatible with the CPAP machine and more importantly, with the ultralight mask from Respironics as well. This tube was bought in place of a heavy, stiff, generic tube that failed miserably. I was able to go back to uninterrupted sleep thanks to this Respironics tube.

Original and Limited Edition are two different things, how do they differ?

I like the original more because it's more flexible and lighter

What's the difference between the Original and this ?

There is no comparison at all. Tubing from this company is stiff and it is impossible to work out the kinks that were in there before packaging. I used warm/hot water to try and remove the kinks but failed

How much heat is there in this tube?

There is no heating in the tube.

Selected User Reviews For Standard Plastic Tubing for Philips Respironics DreamStation-15mm-PR15 , 6ft

Is it possible to give negative star ratings? What I can say is that I am horrified and grossed out by the fact that a company would supply me with an opened as well as clearly labeled tube
3/5

There is evidence that it had been attached to another CPAP machine and then put back into the bag. It was then placed in another bag and shipped It was dirty and used when I received it in the open Medical devices like this are used to treat disease, and the potential to spread disease Yes, infection will occur in the tube forever due to bacteria and viruses. am appalled by what I've just read.

Our CPAPCare is We received actual Philips Respironics tubes for review
5/5

On the basis of all the other reviews, I thought there was a good chance it would be a Roscoe. It is just a matter of being careful who you buy it Because some of them seemed a little iffy about what they were delivering, I changed from the default seller. Our OEM replacement has been delivered by CPAPCare. A new phenomenon. It comes in a bag made by OEM. My original copy came exactly as it did when I got it from my doctor.

There was a poor quality in this product
3/5

There is no denying that Philips Respironics makes excellent CPAP machines, but their tubing is not up to par. There is a very poor quality plastic covering on the cover If the skin is stretched even slightly, giving way to the slightest bit of tension, as normal sleep pattern movements do, it can lose its shape (and integrity). As well as being quite noisy, the tubing can be quite loud. Although bent after several weeks of regular use, the product does not return to its original form. After ordering five different CPAP tubing hoses, I eventually settled on the premium universal 72" tubing. The height of a 6 foot 2 inch woman I would recommend getting the Mars Wellness Pack for $13, which is a superior product.

THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PICTURE! This is NOT the original tubing. Plain white tubing without the gray ends was delivered to me. Getting back home.

Nothing to write home about
3/5

I broke my tubing in my first month using the Respironics Dreamstation after handling it too roughly during the first month. As opposed to waiting for a $37 replacement, I chose to buy an $11 replacement from Amazon. Replace the Apria 00 with a new one. A seal on the packaging indicated that the tube was made in Canada by Philips Respironics and was a 15 mm standard for Dream Station. Size and appearance of the new tubing are identical to the original, and it fits perfectly and does not leak. The other reviewers' remarks about the stiffness of the tubing, however, I found to be accurate. A warm bath or soaking in water has done nothing to improve the bends of the tubing they retain their shape after it's been packaged. If I get it right, I can hang it on my headboard, but it is extremely difficult to do. My understanding is that it is exactly the same as the original, neither more nor less sturdy. My only way of handling the tubing is via the rubber connectors. It was painful for me to learn the hard way that pulling or pushing on the tubing itself is a disaster waiting to happen. The only problem is that it keeps getting kinked all the time, but other than that, it works fine, so in my opinion it's okay as a temporary solution. As soon as I am able to receive another one from Apria, I will no longer need to order.

I love it! A few months ago, my old tubing broke in the joint of my Philips Dreamstation
5/5

I needed a new one. I have seen this quite often, and the tubes are only designed to hold up for a short period of time (it is better to change them anyway to prevent buildup). There is a downside to ordering supplies through a medical supplies company the costs can be extremely high. These tubings can be found on Amazon at a very affordable price, and the machines they fit.

It didn't sit well with me
3/5

There is a smaller diameter on this hose than most replacements, and it feels cheap. Two nights in a row, this hose gathered water at slack in the hose and woke me up. In the 5 years I've used a CPAP machine, I've never encountered this issue with any other hose. The price was lower than others, which is why I gave it a two. In the future, I would not purchase this product. If I had to buy better quality hose, I would rather pay a little more.

There is no flow of air when the outer rings separate from the tubing
3/5

Recently, I began having problems with my cpap machine. I've been trying to figure out what's causing it for about a week now. Got it figured out in the end. There was a separation between the outer rings and the tubing as reported in other reviews. By doing so, the tubing will collapse and the air will flow less freely. It has only been three months since I purchased this tubing. It's the first time I've encountered this problem. This product appears to have been faulty in the most recent batch. It is very disappointing, but at least I bought two and have a backup. we are in the middle of a winter storm, so I will be able to replace this only after I spend a long time trying to do so.
