With this type of filter, I am unsure how many you are getting. Will you just be getting a holder for it?

In addition to the primary filters, I received several secondary filters as well. In my case, I don't rinse the secondary filters off

If I change the filters every few weeks, how often should I do so? According to the #s provided, will we need to change fine filter at half the intervals of coarse filter?

The whole point of owning your own is that you can change the setup as often as you want. It is not necessary to adhere to the restrictions set by your insurance company regarding how many you can My own personal filter replacement routine is based on when the ones in use are obviously filthy. It is my policy to leave them alone when they are white or close to white for as long as it takes to lose the white or close to whiteness. That is common sense in my opinion. Bottom line about how often you want to change your filters is entirely up to you.

Is it true they filter bacteria?

There are no coarse dust particles, only fine ones. It's only natural that some bacteria get filtered out by dust and other particles in the air However, this is far too small to be, in any way an N95, since it cannot handle the surface area that would be required to simultaneously filter at that level and allow sufficient air to pass through. The filter is designed to remove most allergens, but the filter is NOT designed to handle biohazards.

The large particle filter needs to be cleaned. How do I clean it?

I am not sure yet. The only thing I have done so far is scrape with my nails as instructed by the person who delivered my cpap machine. I change the small tube every week and I washed it before I purchased them or received My filters were black when I returned after being out of town for four days. My supplier is only sending the smaller one, which really fits to a t, so I'm glad I ordered this one. I washed both and ruined the big one, so I'm glad I purchased this one instead.

There is a strong ammonia smell

It was hard to tell they were the same as Phillips brand filters, however. As a result, their smell was ammonia-like. Inhaling that isn't something I would like to do. That is why I immediately ordered the Phillips brand filters and will not make the same.

It's a good deal compared to the cost of insurance

These three "washable" filters each cost me a bit more than $5 after my insurance paid its share. I paid $0. for the disposable filters in this kit. the insurance company pays part of the cost. In order for me to get the exact same filters from the local pharmacy, I'd have to pay about $19 after my insurance kicks The filters can be purchased here for a lot less, so it makes sense to buy here. Furthermore, insurance does not allow you to buy many of the "washable" filters, so buying them online allows you to have any number.

Dreamwear may not be exactly the same as workwear, but it works just fine

aren't the actual filters that were used in dreamwear machines, but they do the job. The machine kept not closing all the way since one of these had a little tab that kept it from completely closing. But a little snip removed that problem. That's been working like a charm since then. I really appreciate this feature when my delivery system fails to send mine in a timely manner.

The filters are much cheaper and work just as well as those from Respironics. You won't have any problems getting them to fit. As another commenter mentioned here, I didn't run them through my Gamma Scout, but when I do I'll revise my rating if I get a positive hit. Very good product at a reasonable.

My first time using a C-pap, I didn't realize the filter needed changing. My doctor recommended that I get new filters from Amazon since it was easier than getting in touch with her. It is easy to install and has a decent price. I will buy it.
