Masks aren't sanitized but are cleaned with Decyl Glucoside, a material used to clean metal and rubber. To the best of my knowledge, the same chemical agent can be found in baby shampoo or cosmetic cleaners.
While the gentle cleansers do a good job of sanitizing my full face CPAP mask, I will not use them as a sanitizer wipe. In over 10 years of using my CPAP I have never before sanitized my mask. The tubing on my mask has been cleaned weekly with a mild liquid dishwashing soap solution and a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water.
